Two tiny cabins available. Shower cabin with sink. We have no intermittent power or WIFI. Nearest town is 5 miles away, so come prepared. No RV's bigger than a van or class b (truck W/camper ok) because There's a steep part of the one-way driveway from the main road at first and it is a blind corner and steep for about 200 '. Listen first then gun the engine. You might want to get out and and see what you're up against. When it's wet. it's slick. Ps, my camry makes it fine, but no low cars advised. For RV's No hook ups. $30 per night. No sewage) A community fire pit and lots of wood can be found. We need help burning it, when no fire ban is in effect. A propane cook stove, fire ring and covered outdoor kitchen Prep space is available. Lots of birds and wildlife. We are close to Dabob bay but it is not immediately accessible. This is a great base for hikers who need some comforts before hiking the great Olympic Mountains! Forage for wild herbs and berries. Go on a fishing trip in many great rivers and lakes and salt water in the sound. A million frogs croak at spring and summer! Black bears won't bother you, if you see one. They're shy, leave them be. Coyotes howl at night. Cougars are not unheard of. It's pretty wild here! Walk our trails, and soon with plant identifiers and information stations. Find what Hood Canal has to offer!

Hidden Meadow on Henderson Inlet

Situated on 16 acres in the south end of Henderson Inlet, Hidden Meadow offers both proximity to town and immersion in nature. Consisting of two large fields, lush forest, stream, and Henderson inlet, the property offers complete privacy in nature while being only minutes from town. The campground is located in a private meadow in the North East corner of the property over 600 feet from the house. The camp is adjacent to a roughly 4 acre meadow with plenty of space for the kids to run around or play games. We have a network for nature trails along the 600 ft shoreline of Henderson Inlet. Along the trails you will find several different sit spots to enjoy nature from. In the summer, enjoy picking black berries and salmon berries off the trails. At high tides, enjoy the views of the inlet from the deck along with the various sit spots that overlook the water. Eagles, hawks, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who might come say hi. We are about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and about 5 minutes from I-5. You may see us around during the day, playing, working in the yard or walking the trails. However, we will respect campers' privacy. We do have two dogs on the property (Wilma and Bean) who are very friendly and we will keep them out of camp during your stay. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. Sound travels well over the water so please be mindful. We have a long, steep, curvy driveway. At the bottom of the driveway, you will find signs directing you to the camp site. If you have extra vehicles, we have extra parking spaces adjacent to the campsite. The road out to camp may be bumpy (we do our best to keep it smooth) so go slow and beware of natural obstacles. All fires must be completely extinguished before leaving unattended. There is water available and a bucket to fill to put your fires out with. Campsite boundaries: Please keep all vehicles on the designated roads. You have access to the field north of the campsite and all of the walking trails between the water and the fields. See photo of boundaries. You have room to spread out your awning without hitting the next vehicle. Each site has its own picnic table and fire ring. Also if you are in the mood you have a covered kitchen to meet and mingle with other guests. We also have a big screen tv in the kitchen so you don't miss the Seahawks games. Drive in and enjoy a lovely view of unspoiled woods from the deck of your canvas tent. Enter the door into a spacious area with a king or queen size bed and small kitchen area. Each tent has its own heat source for your comfort. Each tent has its table right outside on the deck but it you are feeling social come enjoy our outdoor kitchen. We are open year round and It is different every season Our guests love staying here "This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You NEED to check this place out."

Whether you come to escape or to connect, you will find it here. NOTE: This is a working farm we have animals, dirt, sticks, bugs, and poop, and lots of opportunities to "connect" with Nature. All of our amenities are shared spaces, designed to foster community. You will find good signs with clear communication here. All of our lodgings are off-grid with no electricity or running water. Water, electricity, and wifi are available in the kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounge areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted. We request that campers check in before 8 pm. More than a campground this is a destination, come for the weekend or stay for the week. We have camping, glamping, and cabins available throughout the summer months. We also offer tours of the animals and gardens. There is a shower house, bathhouse, summer kitchen, library, cafe, fiber studio, yarn shop, and lots of outdoor seating. Additionally, we have safe potable water, a portable toilet, and two charcoal/wood barbeques available for your use on the patio. Come, walk in the gardens, smell the roses, put your feet in the creek, then sit by the fire and watch the stars come out. Compass Rose Farms is the host and mother to many businesses and projects. Our gardens provide flowers, food, medicine, and the magic for weddings and celebrations. The Weavers Grove holds our spiritual center and sanctuary, a place to wander and connect to land and spirit. The Farm supports our flock of Icelandic sheep, Compass Rose Wool Mill, Hipcamp, and our many fledgling start-ups.

Two Frog Bog

Welcome to Two Frog Bog, a 20-acre forested haven featuring 5 acres of wetland. Our accommodations include a 24-foot yurt with a private, semi-attached bathhouse, two 10 x 20-foot tent cabins with outdoor kitchens and private outhouses with composting toilets. You’ll enjoy the outdoor shower that is available for all guests. The communal fire pit is a great place to roast s’mores and maybe meet new friends. But wait, there’s more: a two-tent campground where we provide the tents, a shared, covered and fully equipped outdoor kitchen, a shared composting outhouse (cleaned at least once a day). Campground has access to shower and fire pit as well. Explore our forest trails leading to the serene wetland, and don't miss our unique 26-foot-wide, 10-foot-tall Woodhenge – a magical spot to relax in a hammock, read a book, or stargaze. Two Frog Bog invites you to immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the variety of accommodations and shared spaces we offer.

Forest camping on a huckleberry farm with a salmon stream. 10 acres of permaculture and mycology includes 5 granite fire pits and loop trails with dispersed tent sites. A remote island, naturist beach and kayak at the creek. Parking is limited. Guests love it here: "We stayed two nights at Curley Creek Canyon and loved the experience! Jerrett was a wonderful host and met us upon arrival with great recommendations of places to explore on his beautiful property. The camp sites are clean, private, and have fire pits, and benches provided. We took the roped trail down to the creek (bring gloves its a bit steep) and saw large groups of salmon swim upstream. This time of year is magical with the dropping leafs and lush moss/fungus sightings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick getaway from the city to connect to nature.
