Dun Tun is a 5-acre working smallhold we are assisting back to a healthier level. We have animals, plants and people contributing to improving the soil and biodiversity. You may see our meadows high and full of wildflowers or cut short for our animal's benefit. Both make for excellent views from our campsites. We've built a new shelter for the compartment toilet for added privacy and weather protection in 2024! We are expanding our farm stand, in addition to eggs you will now find seasonal produce, firewood when fires are permitted and souvenirs made by folks who live and work on our farm. Both campsites are unimproved spots in our future silvopasture food forest. Located on the "back four" acres of our property, they're surrounded by trees and seclusion. We back to a small airport and are near a main road and you will probably hear traffic. Both campsites have trees and space protecting them from views of people or development. We improved our road in 2022 so bring your vehicle with no worries. We're just outside of the busy part of Port Townsend and close to farms, beaches and historic sites. Go into town for festivals, restaurants and the farmer's market. Chimacum, just two miles away, has several nice restaurants, breweries and farms that offer tours. We're two miles from restaurants, hardware stores and a grocery store in Port Hadlock. We're just 45 minutes from Olympic National Park and 2 hours to the Olympic Peninsula Coast so we're a great stop over. Hablemos Español. The place has been farmland since about 1926. It became a family horse property with three pastures and now is a small lavender and blackberry farm. While it is limited to two RV sites, there may be farm visitors walking arond the area. Tall cedars and fir remain in the back of the property and provide for a forest experience. It is not a commercial campground. We are now turning it into a small lavender farm. About half of th original pasture is now covered in black ground mat and 3,000 newly planted lavender. Learn more about this land: One acre pasture for dry RV camping (no restroom facilities). There is a potable water/hose bib and an auxilliary 110 volt 15 amp AC connection via extension cord from barn. You should rely primarily on your own power. Walking trails are in cedar trees and on hill across 10 acres with flower fields and blackberry "farm". Free blackberry picking in season (August and Early September). Deer, racoons, foxes, bald eagles and occassional coyote on site. Keep food and trash secure. No toilet or sewer available. There is one portable "porta potty" type facility. Dry camping only, no camp fires allowed due to fire conditions. Pack out own trash/garbage. No Pets allowed. Only visible neighbors are three horses on neigboring 10 acre farm property. There is Wi-Fi. Beach access has been closed.

Almost 20 years ago, Shelley and Casey moved back to the beautiful Skagit Valley farm Shelley grew up on. Her family has farmed in the valley for five generations. Casey had studied permaculture in the San Juan Islands and they immediately began planting edible and useful plants throughout the property. They started a small Community Supported Agriculture program growing vegetables and fruit for several families. The property has evolved over time to include several living willow structures and a wonderful collection of unusual fruits creating what they hope is the feeling of a Wonderland. Learn more about this land: New Van Camping Site in 2023: We have a new gravel pad van site next to an 18 acre farm field with a wonderful sunset view. We do not allow fires at the site. But you would be welcome to have a campfire in our firepit a short walk from your van site. Please note, we are not currently offering firewood. But it is available at the Shell station less than 5 minutes from our farm. Tent Site: Pitch your tent in a private corner of our little organic farm in the beautiful Skagit Valley. You will be surrounded by gorgeous edible landscaping and a stunning view of Mount Baker. Take a stroll through our gardens, graze on some fruit in season. A 10 minute walk or quick bike ride to the Skagit River offering great swimming in the warmer months. Our farm is surrounded by many flat scenic farm roads very popular for cyclists and photographers. There are two restaurants and several antique shops less than a mile away in the cute little town of Conway. The Conway Muse is a funky music venue and restaurant hosting great live music on weekends throughout the year. Feel free to pick organic fruits, vegetables and nuts to enjoy at your campsite or take home by donation.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm
We had such a great time the first time we stayed in the A Frame, that we booked it again. Our girls trip was perfect. The sleeping pads are plenty comfy, and the view is stunning. We brought our own water, but the kitchen had pots and pans already. My friend drove her minivan up the hill, which I was a little surprised, but she made it. I don't recommend it though. 4WD is best. Thank You again Shannon for another great stay.

Mid Mountain is the lowest of the campsites on the hill and has great views of Clear Lake. I enjoyed watching spring storms move through the area as part of my March visit. The site is flat with a lovely deck, and a large fire pit. I will definitely be returning! Each of the sites are laid out to allow privacy from each other, and I’m sure the site will continue to impress as the tree cover grows up around them. The road to reach the sites is dirt and steep - but well packed and maintained. If you have a larger vehicle or trailer you’ll need to use the corners of the switchbacks to turn around. I’d plan to arrive before dark on your first visit. Be prepared for a hike uphill if you are planning to use the port-a-potty provided. It was clean and well maintained, with a built in cardio plan to get there. :)

I love the new site named Bob Ross! I stayed there for one night and the weather was perfect for an amazing view. As with all other sites it is very private setting. Zack, the host is prompt with response and I really like that most sites are Instant Bookings. I have one more site left to tryout on his property but I know I will continue to go back.

The site was exceptionally clean and level. The view of the lake and biking trails were amazing. My 22ft travel trailer fit perfectly in the site and left plenty of room for all guests and our bike. There was plenty of room between sites. Our dog was able to explore our area and have a great time.

This is my 4th trip to Zack’s Hip Camp. The views are amazing! The sites I have camped in are very clean and spacious. I like having the locking gate at the entrance so there are no random drive byes. The switch backs are easy to manage in my truck. The sites have good privacy. The total sites currently are 4, and I can’t wait to check them all out. I highly recommend Zack’s camp.

We had a wonderful cozy stay on Shannon’s land. We chose the A-frame cottage and it was just the thing for a winter vacation. The wood stove kept us warm, the sleeping loft was comfortable, the view was amazing. Plus, there were lots of walking trails and other natural features to enjoy around the property like a pond, a creek with signs of salmon life, view of a waterfall, and even the chirping of frogs and eagles flying nearby.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm
I am so happy I found this A Frame on the hill to have my friends out for my 53rd birthday camping trip. It is the cutest cabin! It’s really was comfy and cozy. The loft with mattress pads are comfy on the my older hips. I was concerned but I was pleasantly surprising comfortable. I had a my friends park at the bottom because I don’t know how her minivan would do getting up the couple switchbacks. My truck did well, I did have to use 4 wheel drive in one spot. The cabin has privacy with a beautiful view. I loved having the propane stove, and wood fireplace. We were warm and toasty. I brought extra firewood but never needed it. The cabin is well insulated and we had to keep the fireplace on low most of the time. The color power lighting was awesome with usb and cigarette outlets to charge our phone was very nice. Composting toilet was a real plus as well. It was a rainy day for us so most of our time was inside for the one night. I highly recommend this cabin. I am so grateful it was available. Communication was awesome with Dave and Shannon as well.

Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are outhouses at each campsite. Campfires are allowed (when burn bans are not in place).

We are pet friendly. Well behaved dogs can be off leash this vacation The nearest towns are Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., and Sequim where you’ll find restaurants, wineries, and more. The nearest attractions are Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Discovery Trail, Ferry Dock to Victoria B.C., Lake Crescent, and Hoh Rainforest where you can enjoy activities such as: boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, winter activities, hiking, biking, etc. Also, you can ride directly from the campsite to some fabulous mountain biking trails at Dungeness Trails.
