1 night at Funny Farm Homestead

Nice quiet spot only 16 minutes from downtown Spokane. The simple gravel parking area is situated away from buildings and people, making it easy to enjoy and use the space. Also, we loved waking up to see the farm animals from the RV, pigs, chickens, cows and horses.

2 nights at Harrison Bluffs Campground

Host was very helpful and we appreciated her hospitality. Great farm, friendly animals and good place to see the stars without light pollution and enjoy a quiet peaceful night.

The directions were very clear on how to get there but we easily passed the turn off. I didn’t have any service but was able to get enough service at the end of the road to check the address and saw that rv slots were too far past where I was supposed to be. I turned around and saw the small Hipcamp logos for tenting. I ordered eggs and firewood. Upon arrival the host was there to greet me with the items. Unfortunately there were 2 cars and a hammock hung up in my slot at campsite #1. They didn’t know who they belonged to since we don’t input our license plate number (That would be a great idea for the future) and no one was there. We weren’t supposed to have any camping neighbors on our visit so they weren’t sure if these people were there from the night before or if someone had snuck in. Because they couldn’t figure out whose cars were there we got to pick which ever slot we wanted to camp in because no one else was supposed to be booked during our stay. We chose slot #4 which looked to about double the size of slot #2 and I was actually glad it worked out that way because we had enough room to spread out our tent, bbq and table, our own porta potty and still have room away from the fire pit where we put our chairs. Porta potties are provided later in the season and they do have trash bins. We tied up our 2 small and 1 large dog to the trees to play and set up our hammock. After raining, the small inclined walkway became slippery. This was awesome! I havnt camped in years.

Weekend Trip to Spokane Western Dude Ranch Barn BnB

Easy to check in, came late and Mike helped provide me some light so I could set up my tent. He was very friendly and helpful. Everything was pretty much as advertised. It was a bit for me to sleep because dogs were be barking at random times thru the night. If you’re a heavy sleeper it shouldn’t be a problem.

We had the best time staying at the Funny Farm. Diana is an excellent host and our kids had the best time exploring her farm and playing with the other kids also staying on the property. We would definitely stay here again!

the site was good for a short term stay. It’s graveled, level, water and 50 amp. No dump site. Good views of the ranch and mountains in the distance. Wouldn’t be able to set up the awning and tether it with stakes because of the gravel surface. We were parked next to the garage and provided privacy.

Our campground is also our Tree Farm. Situated approximately 13 miles from Spokane Valley in the community of Newman Lake. If you're seeking outdoor adventures, relaxation, or a mix of both, our location offers a wonderful blend of experiences, it has the feeling of being remote while being close to civilization. Beautiful, spacious, and secluded campsites on 76 acres. We are surrounded by trees where it is very quiet with the exception of the wildlife, the distant call of the trains. These are dry sites without electricity, sewer hookups or dump. Potable water is available. It directly borders over 890 acres of land owned by inland paper company that can be utilized for hiking. Campsites are surrounded by forested area allowing campers to submerge into a peaceful nature setting and there is plenty of privacy between each camp site. Wildlife like deer, turkeys, and an occasional moose are common. One can walk through the woods or just sit and listen to nature all around. You will find many lakes just a short distance away. Coeur d'Alene is 16 miles away. Sandpoint is about 55 minutes away. Silverwood Theme Park is about 40 minutes. There is lots to do here from fishing and hunting to boating and skiing. Riverfront Base Camp

Park your RV, overland rig, pitch a tent, or sleep under the stars next to the Coeur D’ Alene River. Be advised this is directly next to State Highway 3. If you are a light sleeper, or road noise bothers you, this is not the campsite for you. At the camp, you can launch your kayaks at the river to go for an adventure down through the Chain Lakes, all eight are accessible by the river adjacent to where you will sleep. The bird and wildlife watching in this area is world class. Ospreys, hawks, turkeys and other animals commonly hang out in these parts. You can go for a swim at one of the sandbars, take your dirt bikes or side by sides down Killarney Lake Road to access an extensive network of trails and dirt roads into remote wilderness. There is no cell service, no water or electrical hookups, or toilet. As beautiful as it is, your experience will not be “glamping” unless you come with all the comforts you personally desire. You can hunt on the forest service land by 4th of July Pass, fish on the river, or on the Chain Lakes (with the proper permits, of course). There is a access into the water from camp but it is quite steep. For easy access to the water, use the docks or boat launch at Killarney Lake or Bull Run. Pets and kids are allowed at your own risk. Be advised the highway and river are hazardous for off-leash animals and rambunctious toddlers. Please send a message if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

I'm a 3rd generation farmer, working the same land as my father and grandfather. Hidden Acres Orchards is a 60 acre, u-pick fruit, vegetable, and flower farm. Camp within the luscious fruit tree rows, in the middle of a vibrant pumpkin patch or even in the petting zoo! Animals welcome! IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. There are tractors running, sprayers making applications, farm animals loudly enjoying life, day customers picking fruit, and farmers about early in the morning. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED. ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, there are no designated spots. Let your creativity shine and choose as dope a spot as you like! If you're scared of driving off a paved road or frightened by the natural world we suggest glamping at another lovely Green Bluff location. Starting SEPTEMBER 23RD until OCTOBER 31ST every weekday we host hundreds of school kids on the farm. They start arriving around 9:00 am. If the sound of children's laughter drives you absolutely insane, you might think twice about booking a stay with us in the fall. Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow. Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads. July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS. Lost Moose is a remote campground nestled in the mountains of beautiful North Idaho where outdoor recreation opportunities abound! Before you book a reservation at the Moose, there are a few things you should know. Our hope, and the reason we opened Lost Moose Campground, is that our guests would have a friendly and fun atmosphere away from life's hustle and bustle where everyone has the opportunity to relax, enjoy nature, and explore north Idaho with their family and friends. Our campground is remote and it does take a little more time and effort to get here. While most of our guests repeatedly tell us it's totally worth it and it's just what they were looking for, others have let us know that they would prefer to be closer to the Interstate and the amenities of "civilization." We just want everyone to be happy! So, before you book a reservation, we want you to know a few things about our campground that way you'll know just what to expect when you stay at the Moose! • Lost Moose Campground is located 8 miles south of Interstate 90. Getting here includes 6 miles of gravel road that can be a little bumpy at times throughout the year. • There's no cell service or wifi at the campground. A landline is available for emergencies and cell service can be found often when traveling nearby roads and trails. • Due to our proximity to Latour Creek we do not have sewer hookups or a dump station. All RV Sites are equipped with power and water hookups and toilets and hot showers are available. • The nearest grocery store is approximately 12 miles away, the nearest gas station 11 miles, nearest dump station 11 miles, and the nearest restaurant is about 12 miles away. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Coeur d'Alene or Wallace. • Latour Creek provides a great place for kids and adults alike to cool off in the summer, but it is not suitable for kayaking or floating. The Coeur d'Alene River is only 8 miles away and is well suited for those activities. • Crystal Lake trailhead is approximately 12 miles above the campground and is accessible by car. The Mirror Lake trailhead is also accessed about 12 miles above the campground, but includes a narrow jeep road that isn't suitable for vehicles not designed for off-roading. • The Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail parking area is 8 miles from the campground at the junction of Latour Creek and I-90. • ATV's can be ridden from the campground. There are no formal maps of our area, but we are happy to help give directions and suggestions for great places to ride. SO MANY THINGS TO DO Most of our guests come stay with us to get away in the wild. When you are out and about on the trails, chances are you'll see moose, elk and deer - if you're lucky you may even see a bear! It's a real rarity when we hit the trails and don't see at least one of the above! • IN CAMP Play in the river, do some fishing in the creek, play horseshoes and corn hole, eat ice cream, explore the surrounding area, relax, build a campfire, etc. • FROM CAMP Enjoy access to hundreds of miles of ATV/UTV trails directly from camp. Take off upstream or downstream and fish all day. Huckleberry picking in season only a few miles away! • OUTSIDE CAMP Bike trails, kayaking or floating the river, fishing, water parks, theme parks and area attractions. Something new near us! There is a new Super 1 foods grocery store with an Ace hardware store complex just after you turn off HWY 95 to come to LBR. NEW! Sweet Lou's BBQ Pit at Athol Crossings next to the Super 1. You can get all your food needs and many of your camping needs there. This will be very helpful to all our guests.
