It's a great location for romantic getaways, silent personal retreats, yoga, playing in the river, or just spending quiet one-on-one time with your spouse or significant other. The best camping near Crater of Diamonds State Park guide

Overview

About

Have the luck of the Irish? There are diamonds here, and some sit on top of the ground. This Arkansas state park is the only park with 37 acres of plowed field to search.

Start your visit at the Diamond Discovery Center to learn more about the largest diamond. It was found in this diamond-bearing volcanic crater.

During the peak season, enjoy a meal at the Kimberlite Cafe. Kids love splashing in the water at the Diamond Springs Water Park. It's a great place to cool off and refresh from digging for diamonds.

Numerous trails dot the park. One of the favorites leads to the wildlife observation blind. From here, you might see squirrels, birds, wild turkeys, deer, and other wildlife.

Pitch your tent or park your RV in one of the 47 Class AAA campsites when you're a park visitor. You find sites with 50 to 30 amp electrical, water, and sewer. If you want something a little more rugged, the park offers five walk-in tent sites.
