The yurt offers a cozy, home-like atmosphere with its clean setup, two small AC units, and a full kitchen. While it boasts a nice deck and outdoor seating, campers should be prepared for potential nighttime noise. It's a great spot for those looking for comfort in nature, but earplugs might come in handy. Overall, the experience is positive with a minor concern about the noise level.
The yurt is very clean, it's equipped with two small AC units, full kitchen, toilet and a small shower.. it feels like home.. very nice deck and outdoor chairs... bring some earplugs, it can get noisy at night..
First - the staff is great! Friendly, helpful, and fun. Shout out to Randy, Eileen, Jim, Matt, and Evelyn. We'd go back for them alone. The campground itself was ok. It was pretty quiet (we were in the less busy "B" section) and it was nice walking in the morning. The river was nice to sit next to (it was cold and flowing pretty fast). One big thing for us was that the sites DO NOT HAVE SEWER HOOKUPS. This needs to be addressed on the listing. We asked about it and were told that they know and have been trying to get "them" to remove that from the listing. IMO it's a complete bait and switch. We were given a free (usually $25) pump out from the Honey Wagon the next day (which it turns out our site wasn't even on the list, but we caught him as he was passing us at noon), but that didn't help us with having a full black tank when we arrived. I don't think it's worth $100/night (plus HipCamp fees).
We had a nice stay! Grabbed a spot not far from the clubhouse. The kids loved the pool and we loved the views of the canyon. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
The tent spaces available are in one large grass area. No privacy at all and zero shade. Additionally, there’s only 1 communal picnic table, not individual tables per campsite. You also cannot park at your space. Tent sites do not have water or power available. Only at the communal table. None of this was described in the listing. RV lots looked nice, though.
If you were planning on using the amenities, note they do not keep up the bathrooms. The cafe is only open a couple days a week and if closed, no ice available for purchase.
First thing, it was advertised by Hipcamp as a full hook up, not true, there is no sewage. Second, there are only few public campsites available for non members, in between the access roads, there no shade and tons of DUST. Never had that much dust in my whole life. Third, being next to the road/bridge, there is a metal cover at the connection which makes a big bang every time a car is passing over it. I know it’s not resort property/responsibility, it’s just a fact. What can be improved? Use pebbles on the access roads and water the roads to minimize dust. There is enough water in the river. Thank you!
