Site 2
Great spot!
We had a last minute cancellation at Folsom Lake and were really excited that this spot was available the day off. Matt was a great host, he kept in touch and came to greet us down at the river to give us the summary of the place. Spot #2 is not for big tents and has full sun exposure during the day, so please beware and plan accordingly with some shade structures. There's also a lot of dry grass and prickly vegetation. A couple of ant nests on the corner of the property as well.
We enjoyed a hike at Dave Moore's trail with the kids per Matt's recommendation. Once we were back, and after roasting for a bit at the campsite, we decided to soak in the river for the remaining of the day. It was a wonderful time!

Site 4
We fell in love with this camping ground. Site 4 was nice and had privacy. We were about a minute walk to the river. The river was NICE and had a small pool area for kids to swim in and was SAFE. We look forward to coming back to this place. Matt was a great host, showed us around the camp ground. Friendly and accommodating. There's bathrooms and showers available, nice to have.

Site 3
We loved camping in site 3. It was right next to the restrooms and had plenty of shade.
We also had access to a cool deck that was perfect for the kids to play.
This was one of the furthest spots from the but it was a short walk.
Would highly recommend this campground to anyone with kids

The Best Camp Site I've Ever Had
This was the best camp site I've ever had, Site 7. There were 14 of us, 8 adults, 6 kids (all under 5), and a dog. The site was big enough for us all to have 4 large tents, two picnic benches, a shade tent, a playpen, a large mat for kids, all 5 cars parked, and there was still plenty of space to hang around. There was a ton of tree shade, so it never got too hot. Also, the American river is maybe 30 feet from the site. There are 2 wading spots within a 5 minute walk of the camp site; 1 has a sandbar that was excellent for lounging and SUPER kid friendly, and the other had plenty of lounge space in the shade and was deeper for swimming. The host was very communicative. The bathrooms were close by, super clean, and even had showers. Honestly, perfect.
