West of Modesto, in California's San Joaquin Valley, you’ll find an area rich in agriculture known as Wood Colony. Established in 1869, this soil has been farmed through generations and filled with history. Wood Colony Haven sits on just under 10 acres of land, surrounded by beautiful walnut and almond orchards as well as grazing ground for our livestock. We are situated in the “Golden Triangle” as our ranch is conveniently situated with easy access to major highways and freeways such as I-5, 99, and 132. With less than 2 hours in proximity to both the mountains and the ocean, Wood Colony offers the best centralized location for any activity!West of Modesto sits a quaint community filled with rich agricultural history. Wood Colony was established in 1869 and has since been farmed and cultivated for generations. Surrounded by orchards and pasture ground, Wood Colony Haven offers a centralized location for all of your fun activities. Park your RV next to our lush pasture and say hello to our friendly animals, take a glance to the west and see the beautiful Mt. Hamilton of the Diablo Range. Take a stroll down Clark Ave or Lateral Number 3 as they take you through avenues of orchards. Ride a bike through our rural historic routes. Take a 15-minute drive to the San Joaquin National Wildlife Refuge to bird-watch. Interested in doing more exploring? Grab one of our guides with some of our favorite spots such as Sonora, Henry Coe State Park, Yosemite, and Half Moon Bay, and San Francisco all within 2 Hours of our central location. Utilize our Full-Hook ups, grab a bundle of firewood, light your campfire, make your s’mores and some memories. Enjoy our amenities such as a full bathroom with large vanity, large shower and toilet.

Ranch RV Site

Great place to stay!

We had a great experience camping at Cheyenne’s property! We arrived super late and Cheyenne stayed up to walk us through where everything was on the property. We camped in our Tesla and took advantage of the 14-50 plug to charge the car over night. Having a bathroom with a toilet and shower was a great amenity! It was extremely clean and Cheyenne provided towels and toiletries. Great place to stop and rest on a long trip!

Great positive surprise!

We got welcomed warmly and very kind by Cheyenne! Not only full hookup but a nice bathroom with toilet and big shower are available. After two weeks of camping that was a very welcome luxury! :-)

I had a quick, in and out stay but the site perfectly met my needs. The bathroom was large and very clean with a great shower. Such luxury! Cheyenne was super nice and gave me a quick tour of the property with all her fruit trees and a little history of the surrounding farming community. Would definitely return!

Words cannot adequately explain!

We went on a two week trip. Cheyenne's place was a great midway point! We stopped on the way down, but arrived late and had to leave early, so we didn't get the full experience of the site... However, the trip up (our last night of the trip) was beyond words! Cheyenne is such a sweet, kind and helpful person! We didn't use the bathroom, but it was private, clean and homey! Cheyenne went above and beyond to bring joy to my daughter and I cant thank her enough for that! And the site itself was glorious! I can say without doubt this was the best night of the trip! Sitting around the fire and enjoying the view was ... just awe-inspiring! We had a 30ft travel trailer and there was plenty of room to manuver. If you have a chance to stay here, I promise you won't regret it!

Ranch RV Site

The spot itself is nothing special, but it's very clean, the host is very nice, and I felt safe. You share a fence with cows and sheep which is fun. The full hookups, a nice firepit and seating, and a quiet farm neighborhood made it enjoyable. It was nice to take a walk along the orchards and the reservoir canal in the morning. It's along a somewhat busy road, but it's not bad. You can faintly hear the noise of freeways around throughout the night though. The luxury full bathroom was a nice bonus.

Ranch RV Site

Can't wait to come again!

We had several mechanical issues at the start of our trip, which made us very very late getting to our spot. Cheyenne was so kind and understanding! We didn't get to see much at night because of the time. But the directions were easy to follow and hookups where a breeze. The morning brought a beautiful small farm. We were greeted by some sweet sheep and cows and one very scared mom bird! We didn't use the bathroom or showers but it was nice to know they were there if needed! We look forward to staying on our return trip and getting there early enough to enjoy the beauty a bit more! Thank you so much!
