70 acres of beautiful land rock croppings. Meadows, pinion trees fill the gated area. About 4 miles off the highway there is a steep hill climb with a switchback, but at the top of hill is a gate that allows access to this oasis in the mountains. There is a well with fresh water and a 24 x36 metal building to keep you dry. This is a must see! Lots of hiking trails to exploreSuper quiet area... Listen to the sounds of the mountain life... Gated area so no one will be driving past your getaway. We have many additional options for you or you can be left alone. Wifi available, water available. Off grid, solar power or generator available. The nearest town is 25 miles away and a bit further is a small gambling town Cripple Creek.

Beautiful scenery

We loved camping on Paul's land. The scenery was spectacular, a secluded beautiful, quiet spot to stay. Paul couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, he even offered to bring us coffee in the morning if we wanted it. The drive to the camping spot was along a private drive through secure gates. The drive in a couple of places along the switchback did have a steep incline. It wasn't a problem for us in our rig but worth checking with Paul first. There isn't WiFi in the surrounding area so arrange a time to meet Paul at the first gate before going. Paul kindly offered up his WiFi, he has signal by his house but we were fine not having WiFi. We were self contained so didn't need anything. We just enjoyed the peace and tranquility, all we could hear was the occasional turkey. We saw deer and some beautiful colored birds. We will definitely stay on Paul's land again, not only because the scenery was so beautiful, the spot private and secure but also because Paul was such a great, warm person. We enjoyed hearing about how it was to live off grid and the great local community, seeing photos of the land in different seasons especially the snow. We look forward to returning next time we are in Colorado.
