We are beginning farmers on 25 acres, we have lots of livestock here and a unique collection of plants starting out in our nursery. The property is in closed in rock walls and includes a cemetery that dates back to the 1800s. Please wear shoes our property has been a homestead/farm for a couple hundred years and does have broken glass as a result. On the property is a large rock grouping that is about the size of a modern full sized truck. We have a watering hole on the property that is spring fed and usually clear… unless the ducks get in. You can totally filter the water for drinking, we drink it. Our farm is more of a primitive campground, parking is not at your campsite. The walk is 3-5 minutes from the parking area. We have a composting toilet on site and plenty of deadwood to collect for burning. Please do not bring firewood We do message every camper after they book giving instructions on how to get here to save our neighbors from unwanted guests, please check for our message. Hope to see y’all here! Happy camping

Quentin B.’s Land

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Monterey, MA
Lake Garfield was named after President Garfield and was where he had his summer house. My place is the original boatshed of the house. The treehouse was built 15 years ago as a sleepout to watch the stars. It's a pretty quiet Lake up in the mountains of the Berkshires and sits at 1200feet so the nights get a little crisp which makes for a great night's sleep.

The Sandbox campground was born from The Sandbox Indoor Beach Sports and Events facility, which mainly focuses on providing year round beach volleyball. We bought the property in 2015 and opened the facility in 2019. As it happens, it's a 12+ acre lot surrounded by wetlands, hiking and biking trails ... there will never be another building built within view of our facility. We are surrounded by nature, and will be forever. So what a great opportunity to offer camping and access to all of the forests, woodlands, wetlands and trails around! The best camping near River Highlands State Park guide

Overview

About

Overlooking the Connecticut River, River Highlands State Park is tucked into what is becoming a rapidly growing suburban area. The park is defined by mixed woodlands (oak, beech and white pine trees) and wetlands over a hilly topography, but the real superstar is the view from the bluffs and a unique geological wonder called a blowhole where you can hear the wind whistle past the bluffs. Some very silly colonists even believed the sound was an act of the devil!

Visitors to the park today can plan on some picturesque hiking over wooden bridges and streams. Camping is also an option for those traveling on the river.
