It is a harsh environment but beautiful! Check-in is between 1pm and 3pm unless you work out different times with us. Also, we want to make sure you know what you're getting into. This is not easy camping, it's more adventurous camping. It's a beautiful environment but can be harsh. Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. You can reserve the park's 60 campsites in advance via the Florida State Parks website. Reservations are available all year-round.
  2. Florida residents can make campsite reservations 11 months in advance, while non-residents can make reservations 10 months in advance.
  3. All campsites have waterfront access, making Long Key State Park one of Florida’s most popular places to camp. Due to the park's popularity, campsites tend to fill up quickly, especially during peak seasons and holidays, so book as early as possible.

When to go

Long Key State Park welcomes visitors year-round. The winter months offer mild temperatures and fewer crowds, making it an excellent time to enjoy the park's tranquility. Consider visiting during the spring and summer months if you prefer warmer weather, but be prepared for hurricane season, which typically spans from June to November, and plan accordingly.
