Whether you're looking for a remote getaway or a romantic night in, this awe-inspiring lookout tower is for those who want to explore the mountains, stargaze at night and enjoy the peace and tranquility. Nestled off the main cutoff to Schweitzer Mountain, this home’s modern design was based on National Park architecture. This one-of-a-kind structure sits more than 60 feet on top of a granite cliff that captures the captivating views of the Cabinet Mountains, Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille. This cozy space provides remote relaxation while still providing all the amenities your heart may desire - including a Smart TV in the bedroom, wi-fi, a wood-burning stove, a wood pellet grill, a Bluetooth-enabled speaker for music, and an abundance of games and puzzles. Finish up your day sitting in the two-person hot tub that overlooks the valley below!
Did we mention adventure? Due to the steep driveway, you will need a 4x4 or AWD in order to reach the lookout tower. You may park at the lower driveway and hike up to the home (2 minute walk) if it looks too daunting. But we promise it is all worth it once you take in the views!
The city of Sandpoint is known for trains so you'll hear the train whistle from the valley below. You'll be surprised how quickly you become accustomed to the sound but if you're not used to it you can use the "white noise" player or earplugs in the bedroom to muffle the train whistles at night.
Sorry, this home is not recommended for children as there is a tight spiral staircase and not a ton of space to play. There is a wider exterior staircase that can be used as well. Pets must be under the owner's control at all times. There are animals in the area along with steep cliffs surrounding the home and bringing your pet is at your own risk.
