Hilltop Site 2
Check out this hidden gem...
We made last minute camping plans on one of the busiest holiday weekends and were unable to find anyplace with available spots. Happened to run across Bell's Acres Recreational Area, contacted them and lucky us, they had available sites.
We arrived at the campground and were greeted by Ken, who owns the property along with his wife, Dana. Ken came in and saved the day by backing up the camper saving me an hour of taking repeated stabs trying to get it parked. Now, we were in an old popup, no water or electricity, but we parked in a site with electric, sewer and water. Silly girls, we thought yay, electricity, we can plug in an extension cord and at least make coffee and have lights at night! Yes, you guessed it, wrong plug! Not to worry, Dana and Ken saved the day by grabbing extra extension cords and getting us hooked up to power.
We parked overlooking Bell's Lake and the view was beautiful. There are also sites by the river where we will definitely camp on our next visit.
Dana and Ken were always coming through the campground checking on us and making sure we were having a good time or needed anything.
We can't say enough good things about our experience.
Thank you, Dana and Ken for a wonderful and relaxing getaway.
And special thanks to the best camp host ever, Monty.
