Big Hole Boondockin' is located in Southwest Montana along the beautiful banks of the Big Hole River. River View Livestock, a 325 acre working cattle ranch, surrounds our camping areas which gives you the opportunity to enjoy a real Montana ranch experience. If you're not into the ranch lifestyle, hop on a raft, inner tube or kayak and float down the river enjoying a cold beverage. We also offer bank fishing on our private property. Stressed? Book some time with our emotional support animals and snuggle one of the pigs or cows to take some stress out of your life. These animals are part of our family and love to sit and relax with humans, begging for belly scratches and giving kisses. Whatever your camping dream is, our focused, friendly staff will work to achieve it. We look forward to hosting you and your family and friends and sharing our day to day dream life.

Big Hole Boondockin' Site #1

Extraordinary

This was a stopping point on our way to glacier national park and what a beautiful stopping point it was! The site was well kept and right on the river. Our host Holly communicated with us so well and was so hospitable showing us around her ranch introducing us to all of her rescue pigs. This was one of the best over night stays we have had! Would 100% recommend!!

Nice flat area alongside the river to camp. Holly provided good directions and communications. Exactly what I needed for a quick stopover. Looks like there is good fishing and other things to explore in the area as well. If road noise bothers you, I did hear some of the interstate traffic through the night, I still slept well and appreciated the convenience of being close to the interstate. A pair of ear plugs would probably solve that if anyone is sensitive to noise.

Big Hole Boondockin' Site #1

Very peaceful and quiet right on the bank of the Big Hole River. Holly was very hospitable and even provided a water hose so I could fill my camper tank. Getting to the site was very easy just off the interstate but there was little traffic noise as the interstate has light traffic. We had the whole large site to ourselves and could set up anywhere. The portapotty was the cleanest and most odorfree we have ever seen! We also saw our first "satellite train" while sitting by the campfire. Will definitely come back here in the future.

I enjoyed staying here for an overnight stop while on a road trip! The area is very nicely laid out and I loved the host’s hospitality and meeting their animals.
