Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Allaire State Park adventure.
Discover history, nature, and an antique steam railway.
All aboard the antique steam train for a ride along the historic Pine Creek Railroad! The historic railway is the star attraction of Allaire State Park, chugging a scenic loop from the Allaire Historic Village, where your immersion in 19th-century life will be complete. Once you’ve explored the living museum, a former ironworks town, head down to the Manasquan River to kayak, canoe, or fish, or set out to explore the 20 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. As for camping, there’s plenty of space at Allaire Campground, which has 45 tent or RV sites (no hookups), plus 10 shelters.
Whether you’re admiring the summer wildflowers or taking part in holiday festivities at Allaire Historic Village, there’s always something going on at Allaire State Park. However, be sure to check the opening hours for the different attractions. Train rides and visits to the Historic Village can be enjoyed daily through July and August, but on weekends only for the rest of the season (April through October), while the campground is open from April through December.
