Paw Paws Tent or Camper Camping
Private camping by beautiful river
Camping at Paw Paws was amazing start to finish. Lino was so kind and wonderful to chat with. He even had extra corn and squash from his garden that he shared with us throughout our time there. We enjoyed being right by the river to enjoy the view and to fish. Wood was provided and Lino even chopped some for us to have it ready to use for our fire. There is a well water pump, fire pit, grill, hammock, swing, outdoor dining table and porta potty. Everything was convenient and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time and enjoyed getting to know our hosts. We would come back in a heartbeat and can easily recommend this as a fantastic, private camping spot.

What an amazing little sanctuary!
Not much to add to all of the great reviews here! We needed a getaway for a couple of days and PawPaws was perfect. We were lucky to spend a few minutes chatting with our hosts--really wonderful people with great stories. The site is fully equipped with two fire pits, hammock, benches to sit by the river, porta potty (a very clean one!), and even a pump for water. Really cannot imagine a better experience--welcoming, beautiful, and beautifully cared for.

Paw Paws Tent or Camper Camping
This weekend was the most beautiful and memorable camping trip we have taken in the 5 years that we have been with hipcamp! Words cannot express how much fun we had at Paw Paw's place last weekend. The camp was beautiful, the river was so peaceful and fun to splash around in. Our dogs loved playing in the water! Got to see a few deer and 2 grey foxes while we were enjoying the sunrise on our last day. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property with us and we can't wait to return sometime soon!

Great location - Nice Hosts
Had a great time with my family (wife and three teenagers) tent camping at Paw Paw’s. Fantastic campsite. Riverfront. Clean and well maintained. Lots of shade. Plenty of room to spread out. 5 minutes from Aztec ruins. Hosts are kind and welcoming. Split firewood for us when we arrived. Campsite includes table with chairs, fire ring and second cooking fire ring with grate, logs to sit on around the campfire, hammock, citronella candles and a port-a-potty. Safeway grocery and town of Aztec few miles away if you need anything. Visited mid-June. Lot of fun. Wonderful opportunity for family to connect and unplug. Played some competitive teatherball games. Brought cornhole and spikeball with us. River current was too strong to swim but we were able to put kayaks in the river at the campsite and paddle into town (2 takeout points- Aztec Ruins and Riverside Park) and we tied tubes to shore to float. Exploring the Aztec ruins was a great way to spend a morning.

Paw Paws Tent or Camper Camping
I loved camping at this location. The river made this spot magical. It was calming and very peaceful. The host was so wonderfully welcoming. Amenities were provided and came in handy such as firewood and Citronella candles. The sounds of nature made the camping experience feel more in tune with nature. Almost feels like you’re in your own river bed to yourself. I highly recommend this place for myself in the future as well as others.
