Oologah! It’s a cool word, and also an awesome park! Oolagah Lake is especially popular with boaters. There are 14 boat launches here, and a full-service marina. The lake is great for sailboats—you can catch some wind on the wide stretches of water. Anglers, cast a line for the sand bass, catfish, hybrid striped bass, crappie, and walleye. There are two sandy swimming beaches here, so take a dip in the refreshing waters, or just stretch out on a towel and enjoy the scenery. Don’t forget your sunscreen! There are lots of hiking trails to choose from. Check out Will Rogers Country Centennial Trail. It’s an 18-mile trail that winds along the shoreline, through woodland and open meadow. Keep your eyes open and camera ready for wildlife and great water views. The foliage is especially beautiful in the autumn. Don’t forget to share your best shots with us!
