Site unessible by GPS/Google Maps
Terribly difficult to find. My Garmin GPS said this site's address couldn't be found. My Pixel's Google Maps sent me to XXXX Reuben Rd, not XXXX Mount Reuben Rd. When I stopped at the Glendale, OR US Post Office, I called Tim. He said I was 2 blocks from the beginning of Mt Reuben Rd, straight ahead; told me the site is 3.4 miles from a Dead End road sign (tho' written instruction said 3.2 miles) and is marked by a pink ribbon. With my auto's odometer I drove 3.4 miles and found nothing. I u-turned and eventually found a ribbon on a steel rod that was tipped at a 45°. I got out of my truck to see there was a very narrow, one car-width dirt road. When I got out to open the second gate, a large pitbull raced to the gate and barked and snarled at me. I drove back to the road sign to tell Tim. He said the dog was nice and I just had to talk nicely to it. I told him I've been bitten twice by dogs and wasn't going to take that chance. He called the owner and then told me to proceed to the next gate attached to a large tin barn; the road to the site would be 100 ft. beyond that. When I got to that intersection, all I saw was tall grass knee- to waist-height. Got out and walked down the left fork and saw only tall grass. There is a field off the right fork with tall grasses. I drove back to the road sign and told Tim I gave up trying to find the site. He said he would refund my fee, but I've received nothing so far. A waste of over 100 mins. of my time!!!

RING OF FIRE Eclipse Chasing
The setting was beautiful and secluded. We missed the annular eclipse because of the foggy, cloudy weather but we all agreed we FELT it. Playing Mexican Train in the tent Saturday afternoon was a highlight as was the opportunity to all be together. The site was large enough to accommodate our three tents and still provide privacy. Plenty of parking available.

Loved being right by the water! And thank you, Tim, for providing kayaks for us to use.

#2Creek cove tents only
I loved the seclusiveness of the site and close proximity to the water. Having a propane firepit accessible during the fireban was a nice touch. Getting down to the water did involve climbing down the embankment with berry bushes as my only complaint. Would likely stay again

Having the creek nearby was a great cooldown for us and the dogs! Large space for the family and great shade.
