The Nest - Creekside Cabin In ANF
Good Little Cabin, Great Creek Acce
The cabin was very cute and sits down in the woods off the road with no visible neighbors. It was very nice to have running water, hot showers and a flush toilet with kids in 90° heat and humidity. The cabin did get hot and sweaty during the day, but we stayed mostly outside, and at night the fans in the cabin helped us stay cool enough to sleep. The deck and swing seat are my favorite parts, and we enjoyed a couple fires as ample firewood was provided. The cabin had a lot of food and toiletries items inside. I would caution any parents of young children that the property is hilly and there are a couple unsteady handrails and steps, so just be careful. The access to the creek also is somewhat steep for younger kids. Would stay again, I think fall would be wonderful.

The Nest - Creekside Cabin In ANF
Pros: Wonderful escape from the world! Big rushing river out back and a creek/waterfall on the side, made this place feel truly amazing. We really enjoyed the big rock fire pit and swing at night, exploring the local parks/hikes and spending time together when it rained. We did get stuck in some good storms but never lost power. No cell service for maybe 15 miles? That’s in the pros side for us though. Not a far drive to get service, gas or food if needed! Hot water and shower were a huge plus! We needed to refill the water tank once from the creek, but it was very easy (and kind of fun to see). Cabin came with everything we needed and then some more. Dog friendly and the fur boy had a blast exploring. Con’s: didn’t stay long enough. Didn’t get a chance to use the kayaks, but can’t wait to come back

Loved the little waterfall right outside the bedroom window. Great cabin with just about everything you would want or need. Ben showed us how the cabin works, gave a few local recommendations, and left us to enjoy the peace and quiet.
