Rustic and Comfortable Cabins. No power lines cross our property. We have no blaring screens to distract us from the sound of the wind in the leaves or to call us back to the whirl of modern life. But that does not mean we are without any comforts. Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, hot and cold running spring water, indoor bathroom, and overhead LP gas lamps. Nestled in the forest at meadow's edge, Cold Spring Cabin has an outdoor shower and indoor tub. Perched on a hill near the Farm Pond, Ripley Hill Cabin has an indoor shower and tub. The cabins are rustic, but clean and airy. The luxuries at Forest Echo Farm are not inside the cabins; they are found in the light that fills the forest in late afternoon, the silence of an evening canoe and the moonlit sparkle of dewdrops at midnight. Forest Echo Farm includes 360 acres, extensive shore to a 26-acre protected pond, numerous trails, and half a mountain. The Farm Pond offers a refreshing ‘dip’ to cool off. A hike from each cabin leads to Tiny Pond, an unspoiled lake where canoe, kayak and raft are available for shared use. Hiking trails are on the property. In addition to local trails, the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail are nearby. The surrounding area is chock full of restaurants, antique stores, country stores, bakeries, farm stands, farmers markets, general shopping, historic sites, hiking, swimming holes and scenic drives. Preserving and Sharing the Land. Forest Echo Farm is owned by a cooperative group of families and individuals who are committed to the values of simple living and the preservation of our environment. Forest Echo cabins offer a relaxing retreat where you can unplug and reconnect. The Forest Echo Farm community is dedicated to preserving our land, maintaining a balance between our human presence and the natural character of the forest, lakes, and mountains. Through the Vermont Land Trust, we have set aside 80% of our land to ensure that it will never be developed.

Cold Spring Cabin
Worth it!
This place was just amazing, so relaxing. Sleeping on the screen porch was so peacful falling asleep with the fresh mountain air, fireflies twinkling in the bushes and stars sparkling above. In the morning it was so peaceful to sit out on the grass looking out to the trees of the field enjoying coffee and farm fresh eggs. Cooking dinner on the charcoal grill and enjoying it on the screened porch with the cool breeze or in front of the outdoor fire. Completing puzzles on rainy days and enjoying the indoor wood fire for warmth. Hot days were enjoyed by the swimming pond or walking a short distance to the larger pond and enjoying the water activities available. Close to the Apalchine trail, buttermilk falls, freedly Quarry and the fire tower at Okemo mountain were all a short drive and enjoyable hikes. The caretakers Scott and Rose and their dog where all so friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with our water and they had it fixed in no time. Will definitely be going back.

Ripley Hill Cabin
Amazing experience and a must stay!
First off I never stay in cabins when I’m with my kids but by special request we decided to stay in the Ripley Hill cabin for this year’s annual Father’s Day campout. I may never go back to tents. What an amazing place and experience. I do not have enough good things to say about forest echo farm, the caretakers are friendly and the cabin was fantastic. Only regret was not having more nights and people with us. Having a refrigerator/freezer and running water was a total game changer but add in the stocked kitchen and we ate like royalty. I cannot wait to go back. Sleeping on the screened in porch gave me the proper outdoor sleeping vibes and the property was just beautiful. We loved taking the canoes and kayaks out on Tiny Pond. Such a gem and close to okemo and killington I will be back!

The vacation we needed
I was blown away by how much thought and effort the caretakers of forest echo have put into the cabin! We had everything we needed and loved everything about our stay! We kayaked on tiny pond, swam and caught frogs in the farm pond, played with Lincoln logs and board games - which we were super excited to come across! My daughter and I spent each night on the porch swing listening to the sounds of the woods. We're already planning a return trip!

Ripley Hill Cabin
My family and I enjoyed our stay in Ripley Hill cabin at Echo Farm very much. We were thrilled with the amount of space we had and all got to have our own sleeping arrangements that suited our sleeping styles and enjoyed cooking inside and toasting marshmallows in the hearth without worrying about bugs! The grounds were very well cared for and beautiful and the cabin was even better equipped than we had thought. Thank you so much for the care you’ve taken. We’re already planning our next trip there!

Paradise in ver
Had an AMAZING time. Felt right at home. We went and group of 7 and just be crystal clear, none of us had reliable service but we didn't mind at all. From tanning on the swimming hole to kayaking and cooking over the fire place, we are looking forward to our next trip in the near future
