The property has been in the family since before the town of Royalton was founded. In 1780, Garner Rix was 13 years old. He was captured in the Royalton Raid and taken to Montreal where he was sold to a woman who kept him safe for a year until it was safe for him to walk home, by himself, at age 14, and when he got back home the town gave him the land that I live on. Garner Rix was my great, great, great, great grandfather.

A cozy loft cabin on stunning Vermont farmland with chickens out the door, delicious breakfast. Evelyn's description of the history of this land are memorable, and she is a delightful hostess.

Glamping in the Barn!

Great rustic experience!!

The barn was certainly a unique and cool exoerience. We arrived to a friendly face, an amazing oeoprty which we hiked and explored. The barn was chilly but the extricate blankets ensured we were super warm. I actually had to turn mine off. Then breakfast was not only tasty but came with great stories and I was lucky enough to grab a fresh egg from the chickens for breakfast- Highly recommended!!!

Delicious breakfast and cozy cabin

Royalton Bnb was perfect for what we were looking for, a cozy and relaxing getaway in beautiful mountains. The cabin is neatly decorated with a big kitchen, a little reading area, a clean bathroom, and a comfortable bed. They also have stable wifi if you want to stay in bed and watch some movies on your laptop. The breakfast was one of the highlights, Evenlyn's jam is very tasty and the eggs were so fresh. Highly recommend! Thank you for hosting us :)

Cosy cabin with all you need!

Evelyn really made my son and I feel welcome. She shared some interesting history of the property and her family and gave us great recommendations for the things we wanted to do while in the area. The corn crib cabin was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we found the property and surrounding area to be relaxing and beautiful. Thank you for a great stay!

Bell Tent Glamping Yurt

Summer get away

The bucolic fields surrounding this historic BNB And platform tent are incredibly pretty, as is the interior decor of the tent. It was spacious for two of us, and we really loved wandering among the many roaming chickens. The town nearby is sweet and we enjoyed the summer weekend offerings. We look forward to returning, including the home made quiche and jams!!
