I grew up here my whole life, and I never got bored living here. Every day I got to wake up and go to the beach just minutes away from home, or my cousins and I would have a fishing contest to see who could catch the most fish. We would also go paddling up the river to lay nets down to catch some ono (delicious) crab for dinner. Nothing like living the true local style, which is the same experience I want you to have. Learn more about this land: Aloha! Looking for a place to lounge and adventure? Mangrove Lounge is the place for you! Mangrove Lounge is located right behind the historical town called Haleiwa Town. Camper Vans or RVs are more than welcome! During the day, enjoy access to a private river where you can take your fishing pole and catch yourself some dinner. After a busy day, enjoy a nice hot bath in a private shower under the stars, along with a flushing toilet and sink. Upon request and additional charge, end your adventure with a cozy night next to the fire pit ($28.00 for fire pit). Mangrove Lounge is 3-5 minutes (driving) away from many beaches and eateries in Haleiwa town where you can also do all your shopping. Less than a mile away, you can find all the delicious food trucks including the famous Giovanni Shrimp Truck. You can find your nearest supermarket just 1.2 miles away called Malama Market, and Longs Drug Store right across the street from Malama Market. Mangrove Lounge provides clean bathroom, a shower with hot water, access to a private river for relaxing or fishing, spacious camping tents if requested for $30.00-$40.00 your entire stay, about 800ft from the nearest bus stop, and secured privacy so you and your friends or family can relax, feel safe, and most importantly...have fun! 😊 Details about each campsite lounge: -Each campsite lounge provides a spacious area for tents or campervans. -Picnic table big enough to fit four people comfortably. -Garbage bins for trash. -Water hose located all around campsite for guests to use. - Access to a private river. -If its not a cloudy night, the stars here at Mangrove Lounge is beautiful. -Bathroom facility is sanitized and cleaned everyday. **What you should bring: 1. The place was decent but it was just incredibly over priced compared to other spots we camped at on the north shore. The host was very welcoming and it had warm showers but just far too expensive for what you get and feel quite ripped off

What a hidden gem! The location was amazing, 2 minutes from everything in downtown Haleiwa! Tons of awesome beaches just minutes away, and all of the shark diving/whale watching/turtle divs take off at the harbor 2 minutes up the road. The hosts extremel nice! They rent out fire pits for an extra few bucks which as great, the owner was gracious to provide an ample amount offrewood each night! If I ever find myself back here in Hawaii I would stay here again!

Beautiful and peaceful. A getaway from the city but just 5 minutes to Haleiwa town. There is a whole community of people with which we have had short brief encounters with during our 4 day stay, all of which were actively making the land and sea a better place through their actions. Please come to stay at this property to support our people and our lands.

Night under the stars

Host was very responsive and kind. Camp site was tidy, be aware there’s only a few spots that are shaded. Location was really quiet and chill, I enjoyed sleeping under the stars and listening to the waves. Also it was nice being super close to the best beaches on Oahu. I would definitely stay again.

Hidden Haleiwa

Kauilani replied promptly, took last minute request for a tent, gave us a tour of the facilities, and an exhaustive list of nearby restaurants and supermarkets. We enjoyed an contained fire pit on gorgeous land in a prime stargazing spot. The limited campsites (3) made for ultimate peace and quiet. It's located where the river meets the sea so exploring the brackish mangrove coastline was completely new for me, even as an Oahu local. Kauilani and her family are the best part of this campsite! Super friendly location for respectful, nature loving Hip Campers. PS - The hot shower and flush toilet are awesome amenities.
