Camp Inside A Real Ghost Town
It might look busy on a map but it’s not. Nice dependable place to spend a night or two.

Camp Inside A Real Ghost Town
Would help if there was a sign as advertised. Perhaps there was but given the GPS coordinates I could tell which plot was which. Cool location nonetheless. Wouldn't recommend trying to get there when there's snow on the roads in town. Parked in the middle of the road in the ghost town and called it a night.

Wish I had read the reviews in full
This campsite was quite misleading. The site was difficult to find using the host's instructions. When we found the site, the laminated paper sign was ripped to pieces. The ground there is uneven and a poor site for leveling campers or trailers. Also, we should have read the reviews in full before making our reservation--one reviewer indicated that this site is surrounded by tiny private parcels with various encampments. With so much unmarked private property, we did not feel safe to explore the town. We also had no cell service to contact the host with our questions. We opted to leave and camp up the road in the national forest instead.

Camp Inside A Real Ghost Town
Unique and remote camping space
This was a really unique, spacious, and remote campsite. My cousin and I enjoyed the quiet and solitude of the space as well as the ability to explore and walkabout. Very serene.

Camp Inside A Real Ghost Town
Adventure in a Ghost Town far away.
The adventure factor is definitely high in this ghost town. Very cool spot. Middle of nowhere is the best description. Closest town is about 20 miles away. Cell phone coverage is at the main road about a mile away. There were some lights in the distance so not sure how private it really is. We went there in December. Temp was -5° F. Designated site was impossible to find in the snow. Roads drop off into deep ditches. Not sure I would call it safe to drive there in the winter. But as I said, it was definitely an adventure. But be prepared.

Camp Inside A Real Ghost Town
Wow! What an awesome place to stay. This place has so much to look at, not only in the town itself, but all over the mountain as well. From the real ghost town, to mines, cemetaries, and a lake. There was so much history to explore all over the place.
