Easy process to book. Host gave good directions on how to get to the property. Just showed up, parked in the tent area, and pitched our 2P tent for a quick night of sleep. Woke up and visited Tallgrass Prairie the next morning. Thanks for offering this convenient camping option!

Tent Camping
I love Base Camp Allen. It has a shelter with tables; tree coverage (for tent and hammock) campers; running water; fire wood, cook grate, awesome outdoor shower; clean port-a-pot and it’s right off the Flight Hills Trails which allows you to ride bikes, walk or hike. The owners keep the area well maintained too.

A peaceful oasis
I had a wonderful time at Basecamp Flint Hills. I was the only person there for most nights, but the space was serene and convenient for my trip. There was plenty of space, and the on site amenities were just as described. Plenty of trees for shady tent spaces or hammocks, and the nightly starry skies were awesome. I would book here again for sure!

Amazing location, so quiet and peaceful. The area is well maintained and mowed. Very clean Porto. Great host, very responsive. Easy to find and get settled. Had a great night.

Gem in the Flint Hills
BaseCamp Flint Hills never disappoints. Beautiful, peaceful, clean and plenty of firewood and plenty of space to spread out under the many trees. The outdoor shower was refreshing after a hot day cycling on the Flint Hills Trail. The porta potty is always super clean.

Great Spot
I secured a spot to sleep in my car due to a last minute cancellation the week of unbound. The owners were on site and extremely helpful even though I didn't arrive until close to 530 PM. Overall, the property was exactly as described and all of the amenities (water, shower, porta-potties) were great. More than enough space to spread out around my vehicle and all I could hear were the crickets at night. Will stay here again in '25 when I (fingers crossed) enter the unbound lottery again!
