I had a great spot that overlooked an inlet of the Tennessee River. It was stunning. I learned that this entire area is part of a land grant to conserve nature for the public. This part of Alabama is beautiful and my stay was complimented with an ice cold beer and listening to the Southern Rock Opera by the Drive-By Truckers, also from northern Alabama. Lakeside Pull-Thru

Very friendly people . We enjoyed the free hot dog lunch on Saturday. Clean lots. Mary was super responsive to any questions I had. The lake view is pretty with a hammock .

Fawn Ridge Pull-Thru

This campsite is absolutely gorgeous, and the people we met there were incredible. I couldn't recommend River Ridge Retreat enough to fellow campers.

Lovely place, just not what I was looking for. Beautiful RV park, friendly and helpful staff. Just not what I was needing for truck camping.

Fawn Ridge Pull-Thru

The sites were great. Large and level with good gravel and grass. There was good lake access for swimming and lots of shade near the lake. It was a long walk from the fawn campground so if you don’t want to get your steps in rent a golf cart.
