***This site is currently being upgraded to a larger tent and adding more amenities for our guests. We will reopen on April 15th this year*** Welcome to our magical property nestled in a semi-remote temperate rainforest on Vancouver island. The 5 acre property is filled with wonderful trails to explore, a nearby lake, and a custom Sauna & Ice Plunge to take the stress of the day away. You'll wake up to the calmness of the forest, the sounds of the birds, and the sun shining through the moss covered trees.**Site currently being upgraded with a larger tent and more amenities. We will be opening on April 15th this year and look forward to showing you all around** This corner of the property is truly a place of zen. It offers a very comfortable canvas tent with high quality bedding, a full outdoor cooking setup, WIFI, propane fire pit and chairs, a long picnic table, a 6 person hammock under the trees, and access to our beautifully crafted custom cedar sauna & cold plunge. The Canvas tent only sleeps 2 so having another 2 guests join you would require them to bring their own tent (4 people total). We're located in a semi remote community called, Caycuse (25 mins to grocery store), which is 15.5 km down a regularly maintained logging road. Small car access is totally fine! This property really is one of a kind and features a large Log Home built in 1986 where your host lives full time, a geodesic dome, sauna bunkhouse cabin, large gardens, and many walking trails in the woods. This location is the starting off point for many world class hiking trails. Some areas to explore include: Carmanah Walbran, Nitinat Lake, Pacific Rim National Park (west coast trail), Marble Canyon, Walbran Falls, and Avatar Grove. I love going over maps and trip planning with guests so feel free to ask me questions. We make for a great stopping off point for some "remote-luxury" glamping, before or after heading further into the great outdoors, or use this location as a basecamp to see what the local area has to offer.

AMAZING experience !
We stayed in the Cedar Place for 2 nights and it was Amazing. We loved everything from the first minutes. Bryce accommodated out late check in and made sure we would be greeted and had a tour. He is also very responsive and provides detailed instructions. The site has everything that you would need to cook, clean or rest. The attention to details is astonishing: extra blankets, board games, rubber carpets on the tree roots in the driveway, sauna set up and so on. It was very nice just to hang out in the camp site. We also enjoyed our time in sauna and hammock! The walk to the lake is super close and I would say private. I would like to keep this gem to myself but of course I would recommend it to anyone who has doubts.
