The property is located at the top of Coopers Gulch in Eureka, CA. Nestled above the forest floor, overlooking a creek, gives the feeling of being in your own private forest. There is a small deck and picnic table on the ground level to the side of the tree house. There is a small shower with a window underneath the tree house. Inside There is a queen bed on top of a set of stairs. There is a small couch that pulls out to make a small bed to sleep on as well.Glamping in a tree! This is an “Off the Grid” experience, located at the end of a quiet street by Coopers Gulch, in Eureka, CA. This space is a great option for people traveling along the coast. Located in the middle of Eureka, this spot feels isolated but is close to major roads and restaurants. This space provides: A queen size bed A solar powered battery with USB to charge items A propane heater A heated shower A composting toilet A two-burner stove A spigot for water

No wifi and not enough light
There is no wifi and no lamp in the house as stated. They do provide head lamp but it is obviously not enough.

We had a great experience! It was fun staying a night in the tree house. Nice view from the loo. Would do it again. Thank you!

No lights
Overall, this a cool place. However, a few small improvements could really make this place so much better 1. Lighting. There was only a single (very dim) lantern provided, along with 3 solar-powered lights that last around 30 minutes before dying. We has to use our phone flashlights to navigate the house at night, and it doesn’t feel particularly cozy as a result. With some (very small & cheap) changes such as a set or 2 of battery-powered string lights, this could be a far more pleasant place to stay, especially in the winter when it gets dark so early in the afternoon. 2. There is no sponge or dish soap provided, so washing your dishes is extremely difficult. 3. Communication was fairly poor—the gate was locked when we arrived, so we were waiting around in the dark & rain until they responded to my hip camp messages. All that said, the house itself is really cool (especially the shower). A few small changes are all that’s needed to make this place so much better.

Treehouse experience
I enjoyed my stay at this treehouse. I particularly I enjoyed the outdoor hot shower - what a treat! The bed is very comfy also. I recommend for those looking for a glamping experience in the colder months. I felt my needs were met and would definitely return.

Solo birthday trip
Very cool treehouse structure built around large old redwoods! Private space. Memorable fun awesome hot shower. Beautiful scenery from the deck for morning coffee or evening drinks. Appreciated the electric hot water kettle for coffee and tea powered by a battery that I was also able to charge my phone with. Plenty of coffee and tea bags provided. Extra blankets and the propane heater works well to heat up the space quick. I didn't mind using the compost toilet on the deck. It is on the opposite side of the house. The owner was quick to respond to messages. Would stay here again.
