The title says it all this property is truly A Unique Mountain Retreat that will give you the peace, quiet and tranquility you are looking for. An energy efficient Uniquely designed home that is off the grid and has a very green footprint with solar and windmill to charge batteries. Oak and pine tree covered acres with fitness and nature trails around the property. Each level campsite with picnic table is designed for privacy with plenty of distance between sites and mountain views in every direction, along with an optional gas log fire pit and BBQ. There is plenty of clean, non potable drinking water, custom built toilets and optional hot showers, limited electrical use, cell phone charging and low power use devices as I am off grid. There is a fitness and nature trail on the property and Pacific Crest trail is approx 20 to 30 min drive, Mountain park which has many miles of hiking trails and an Indian reservation with hikes to many petroglphs. Things to see are the World famous Tehachapi railway loop, historic downtown, vineyards, mountain spirit center a Buddhist temple, glider rides, bicycle riding and fishing. There is cell service around the property but intermittent at the campsites.

Peaceful Cozy Cabin
Very peaceful spot, but still close to town. Loved the cabin, very cosy and has everything you need. John was a great host and he's put a lot of work into his beautiful property.

Clean and spacious.
Wonderful experience. Epic views, big sky. Incredibly clean property. Kind and thoughtful host. We enjoyed the propane fire pit and trail hike.

Site 10 - A Unique Mountain Retreat /off Grid
Fantastic host and location! John is a great host. His property with its 10 sites is amazing. The restrooms are great, the dishwashing is great. We didn't use the showers, but they looked great too. The sites are all pretty level with various amounts of shade. He also has a "glamping" cabin with an amazing view and two Air BnB listings on site. His property is great for just getting away for a weekend or if you want to have a multi-generation family event, it is great because if some people need flat ground and real beds, its available. Even small RVs can fit. He has his own trails and great views and you're only 15 minutes from Tehachapi and tons of trails and things to do. We'll be back!

Site 4 - A Unique Mountain Retreat.
Wonderful stay atop a scenic hill
John's place was the most amazing get-away. My husband and I stopped off here for one night and so glad we did. The scenery was incredible, high on a hill with 360 degree views. John was the most accommodating and friendly host - nothing was too much trouble. He clearly has great pride in his property and the place has everything you could possibly need: kitchen area, grills, picnic tables, propane fires, showers and the most incredibly clean bathrooms with as close as you can get to all the comforts of home. Very tasteful solar lighting in all the right spots without taking anything away from the natural beauty of the surroundings. We would absolutely highly recommend and head back anytime we could. Thank you John for the magical stay at your property!
