RV site 2
Stayed here for the second time and thought it was just as wonderful as before. Will stay here again in the future anytime I'm in the Shasta area!

I loved my stay at Alpaca on the Rocks. It is definitely primitive camping. There is an outhouse, but the door doesn’t really close and it’s over by the buildings which is far from the campsite. Great people and great animals and great camping if you are able to fend for yourself. If you’re looking for something, shiny and clean this is not the place for you, but I think it’s fantastic if you are truly camping and don’t mind having to open and close a gate as you come and go. In addition, there is parking but you will have to bring your camping gear several hundred feet in order to set it up. Peaceful and quiet at night. The noise from cars and trucks along Highway 97 is like a whooshing sound and tapers off as the night goes on. It is very dark. If you intend to use the bathroom at night, you will need a flash to light your way. It is a so you may need to rake the alpaca back. It was very quiet and peaceful.

A gem in the Shasta area
Nancy and her Alpaca farm offer a fantastic stay in the Shasta area, especially for animal lovers. With alpacas, donkeys, sheep, dogs, and cats, the farm creates a great vibe. The animals are fenced in, so you can visit them at when you want without worrying about them roaming around your campsite.
While you might hear some highway noise, the overall atmosphere is still very peaceful.

J's Cabin
The directions were clear, the bed was clean and well-made. It smelled nice, and I enjoyed the little treats and decorations. Nancy was very kind. I got jump-scared by some animals a few times, but everything else went smoothly.

Lovely spot with friendly folks, alpacas, tiny horses, dogs, and at least one cat. We loved it!
