Ascension Ranch is an off-grid paradise with a unique and ever growing list of features and activities. Family owned and operated, we want to be that breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life that everyone needs. With a serene environment, a healthy mix of farm animals, and good old fashion ranch activities, there's a little bit of something for everyone to enjoy. Some of the things you'll come across at Ascension Ranch include baby farm animals, sheep, goats, cattle, horses, ranch dogs, chickens, equestrian activities, hiking, biking, camping, archery, lake activities, amazing views, access to endless trails around Folsom Lake, grass-fed meats, fresh produce and of course, good company. Staying on the ranch can be as social, or as rural as guests choose. Camp alone, or bring others, whether it be your 4-legged companions or friends and family, we welcome all campers who respect and enjoy the great outdoors as much as we do.

Oak Savannah

All around a lovely experience. Beautiful land, friendly staff, amazing animals, gorgeous lake just a few minutes walk. Well worth the Friday afternoon traffic! We will definitely be going again, thank you Ascension!!!

Eagles Nest

Great time

We had a really nice time here. It was quite and with serene view of Lake Folsom. Heard frogs at. night. Getting to lake was easy - brought SUP, swam and fished. Kids went horseback riding - Lori and her daughter were great with kids and really know horses. We stayed two nights - first morning realized my car battery was dead - owner came out in short time and jumped car. Felt like it’s a well run and friendly place. Will come back.

Eagles Nest

loved the privacy, access to hiking trails, and fishing at the lake. appreciated the welcome from Ji and extra porti potties, esp with our group of 27 persons.

Oak Bottom

Great holiday weekend

We had a great time at Acension Ranch! We stayed at the Oak Bottom Campsite. The site was spacious, and very private especially since it was at the end of the road. There wasn't much shade so I wish I'd brought a canopy. We saw tons of wildlife, vultures, voles, turkeys, and of course the horses. Prepare for a good 10 minute walk along a dusty path with little shade to get to the bathroom. The lake was a treat for a hot day, though it was a little hard to find, but well worth the effort.

Meadow View

Bachelor party camping!

Awesome site! The meadow view site had a perfect mix of sun and shade and the old windmill was really cool! Horses came over at some point and the dogs on property were so friendly! The hike to the lake was short and there were a couple of good swimming spots! Definitely bring bug spray! Forgot mine and it would’ve been even better with it!
