Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata and surrounding areas. We are located less than 40 minutes from Redwood National and State Parks where you can find incredible hiking trails!Come stay in our cozy little cabin tucked in an alder forest. Only a few minutes drive from downtown Arcata, it’s like being in the middle of the woods, right in town. This is a quiet neighborhood and is bike-friendly for getting around town. Feel free to ask us for recommendations on places to eat, get a drink, or find an adventure in Arcata. *The cabin is a short walk from the parking spot. There is a full size bed, but we do NOT provide linens or bedding so please bring your own. There is a blanket for chilly nights. It can get cold at night so please plan accordingly. There are lights and electricity in cabin. Please keep in mind this is a camping experience and while the cabin provides shelter, it is rustic. *Feel free to explore the garden/orchard/greenhouse area (through the small gate by the cabin), just be sure to close the gate behind you to keep the deer out. *As noted, there are an abundance of banana slugs during some times of the year. They are harmless and sometime a little too friendly. Feel free to gently relocate them from around the cabin if needed.

What a beautiful spot! The perfect little cabin in the woods with big windows to enjoy the trees. Everything was as described & the wood stove & blanket kept us warm despite the cold.

We were only there briefly, but the cabin is gorgeous! The lighting was beautiful. My partner loved building a fire in the little stove, and it was so nice that kindling was already prepped so that we didn’t have to do that after a long day. We didn’t get a chance to try the shower, but overall this was basically the same amenities as a hotel room but more affordable! Would recommend brining extra blankets, not just sheets. My partner found the bed uncomfy but I was fine. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This place was exactly what I was looking for. Ted was very helpful and I felt comfortable the entire stay. That wood stove cranks!

I loved staying in Ted and Emily’s bayside cabin. It was a super great location - close to the coast and the redwoods. We arrived after dark and the hosts left the lights on for us to easily find the cabin. We also saw a few fun banana slugs!

Coziest little cabin

My husband and I stayed at this AMAZING little cabin for 3 nights. It was perfect! The buck stove kept the place super cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The convenience of the location to downtown Arcata was wonderful and made it really easy for us to explore several coffee shops & restaurants. 10 out of 10 would recommend this place all day long.
