The most unique camping experience
Overall this was a really great and fun experience. However, I must be honest in my review. This sight was not quite as advertised. It is quite far from the beach, and the closest beaches are experiencing a sewage crisis, so we had to travel further than we thought to a beach. The campsite is quite small. We were the only campers at the time, but it would be quite cramped if there were other campers. You are sleeping directly next to horse stalls. However, they are kept very clean and the smell was something we only noticed a few times. It was very cool to hang out with the horses, and you can pet some of them. However, this sight is not very private as business continues as usual on this horse ranch. We witnessed a horse dental cleaning and many owners riding their horses. We did not mind this at all, but if you’d like a private sight, this isn’t for you. You can see the Mexico boarder from here, and the ranch is next to a road where boarder patrol and other cars are frequent, so it is not too quiet at night. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
The portapotty was kept very clean and there was a shower, which was a pleasant surprise. In the shower were snails and little frogs, which completely made this trip worth it for us.
Overall, we loved our time here and would stay again. If you’re up for the adventure, i 100% recommend. If you like a more quiet, private sight or something with more amenities or closer to the beach, this is not for you.
