Camp 2 was great, 5 miles to west entrance with a gas station walking distance for extras. Very clean and set up with sunshade, chairs, picnic table and sun shade. It was really quiet at night.

Great site! We stayed in site #1 which is slightly bigger. The lights were a nice touch, the water in the shower was hot, and the campsite was clean and well kept. We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit since we only stayed one night but I’m sure it would have been lovely. Extremely close to Yosemite’s entrance. We added on the tent set up and Jim was very accommodating.
Keep in mind the site is right off the main highway so the traffic can be heard throughout the whole night but, other than that, very cozy setup.

10/10 would recommend and would stay here again.
Super convenient location, just 10 min outside of Yosemite’s entrance.
Jim’s campsite is thoughtful with the table, chairs, metal fire pit, trash, bear locker and canopy. Site 1 even had an outdoor shower!
There is also a quick general store and gas station nearby.
The road is close, but it did not bother us. Car sounds were pretty tame at night, and far and few during our stay in October.
Some mosquitos at dusk but manageable. Keep tent doors zipped up and a small campfire will help deter some.
Be mindful that there are some foxtail plants in the area if you have pets/dogs.

We loved this campsite! The location was super convenient with the gas station across the street and a short drive to the gates of Yosemite. The road and Valero are barely visible from the site and we didn’t mind heating cars passing. The outdoor shower was a must after a long day of hiking and the highlight of the weekend. We didn’t realize the spigot was connected to a jug of water, but we just ran across the street and picked up more water for washing dishes. Highly recommend also getting a citronella candle for the bugs as they swarm when you start cooking. Will definitely being staying again in the future!!

Close to Yosemite Big Oak Flat entrance and right across the street from a gas station, but was still very private. Had a port a potty and a hot outdoor shower that was awesome after hiking all day. Bear box provided. Perfect spot to stay if you don’t want to deal with the reservation hassle or other people camping right on top of you. Will stay again. 5 stars!
