Coastal Forest Farm is a 13-acre family farm. The farm is complete with a seasonal pond, open pastures, and a forest. The forest includes ferns, a variety of mushrooms (please don't touch them unless you are knowledgable about mushrooms), flowers, and mossy-covered old-growth Sitka trees. At night you can hear the sounds of the ocean nearby and the frogs in the forest.Private, wooded area available for fully contained RVs, travel trailers, and campers. Hipcampers MUST have own bathroom/toilet, there are no bathroom accommodations at site. There is only 1 site, so it’s perfect for a peaceful getaway with beautiful large trees and coastal sunsets. The campsite is fully fenced to allow children and pets to roam safely.  This spot is also ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with Lake Earl Wildlife area (the largest freshwater coastal lagoon in California ) located across the street, Kellogg Beach and Tolowa Dunes State Park located within a couple of miles. The ocean’s close enough that you can hear the waves at night. Smith River and Jedidiah Smith Redwoods State Park are just a short 5-10 minute drive for hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, sunning, and other fresh water fun. So bring your kayaks, bikes, surfboards, walking shoes, hammocks, or anything else to enjoy all the beauty and adventure the Northern California Coast has to offer.

Wonderful spot! Had a perfectly quiet evening with just the sounds of the distant ocean and the campfire crackling. Thanks so much for the stay!

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
Really great setup by solid hosts. The dogs enjoyed roaming free inside the campsite which is fenced off separately from the other animals on the farm. Secluded but easy to get to from the highway. The highland (furry) cows are great neighbors. Great spot for a night.

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
What a wonderful space! Just minutes from the coast and about 15 mins from town. The perfect getaway for the wife and I and our 2 dogs. A nice sized fenced in area so they could be off leash. The site was clean and set up with plenty of firewood. They truly have a picturesque happy little farm full of adorable animals. Would definitely stay again.

Coastal Forest Farm Camp
We had a great experience bringing our camper van for two nights at the farm! The animals were a delight to watch (bulls! pigs! roosters!), the campsite was spacious and well maintained, and there were lots of thoughtful little additions (like abundant firewood in different sizes). We used it mostly as a launching point for activities in Jedediah Smith Park / Redwoods, and it was a perfect spot. Quiet, private, but really close to everything we needed.

Loved it!
We loved our three night stay! Vanessa is great at communicating, it was easy to find, there was a lovely fire ring with plenty of wood waiting for us, and best of all the three cows were great entertainment each morning.
