Honestly, never made it there because we left somewhat late and got lost in the dark so found another campsite, but the host was very communicative with quick replies which was much appreciated so I wanted to comment on that. There were road closures that were not listed on google maps, so next time I would definitely leave much earlier to leave plenty of time to get there.

Dabudage: fun times!
Beautiful property with lots of campsites. Also some friendly dogs and cats. Everything you need here for a comfortable camping experience including hot showers, hot water in outdoor sinks, kitchen nooks, filtered water and compost toilets. Very close to the beach as well (5 minute hike) and also next to a nice creek. It was a great home base for exploring the southern part of Big Sur for a few days. Had a great experience and will be back again for sure!

Hard to get to from the north, but SO worth it!! Lovely location, and I loved their little cat. February was a lovely time to come here. Weather was incredible, creek was running, and the sky was clear. Accommodations were awesome. Would totally come again.

first, Gene terrible with communication. asked a question before arriving and never got a reply. This place has its pros and cons. I don't think their business is their priority. We enjoyed our 1 night there and the night sky make it all the more worth it. however, not what we expected. The location was fun. property leads to the beach/ocean through a trail under the bridge. The signs to get there were not as clear/big as the ones telling you to "stay out" "private property" "enter at your own risk". Once arrived, we were confused. it looked like a mess (toys everywhere) and there was no designated campsite. We met one of the host who attempted to help us but honestly confused me more. you just had to find somewhere that worked for you. most spots she point to looked overgrown except the ones already taken. We made ourselves comfortable by the creek and camped in our car. the outdoor kitchen with running water was a pleasant addition, but also not maintained well. For the price, it would not be my first choice.

We loved our stay at Debugage! It was wonderful being so close to the ocean. We chose a campsite up a slight hill where we fell asleep to the sound of frogs and the stream going through the middle of the property. We visited right after a rain storm and Gene was super helpful and communicative about ensuring we got there safely and advising us on which routes to take! Will definitely be coming back again

Beautiful Property to Camp on
Tent · With pets ·
The land was really beautiful. I loved the off-grid vibe with the outdoor kitchen and the shower. The river running through the property is really nice. You can walk to a nearby beach, which was perfect for morning dog walks. There were several spots to camp throughout the property and there was enough space that you could have your own area while still sharing the communal amenities.
