Primitive camping at it's best! Dave's campsite is a secluded 2.5 acre site located 15 minutes from Joshua Tree park. Only 3 miles of dirt road that is accessible to low profile vehicles. It is a especially beautiful and private place in the hills between Lander’s and Hidden River straight east of Flamingo Heights. This is a great option for camping in a quiet and private area away from the crowded public camp grounds. Only natural desert and star filled night sky to see in every direction.
Privacy shield for bathroom, changing and shower use. Homey bucket with bags on site I do recommend to bring your own portable toilet, bucket and bio bags. Strictly no bury on site.Primitive camping at it's best! Dave's campsite is a secluded 2.5 acre site located 15 minutes from Joshua Tree park. Exactly as advertised. If you're looking for privacy, this is it. It's just a piece of isolated desert but has great sunset views.

Off Grid Oasis
17 ft campervan
Dave's spot was the perfect off grid oasis. Close to Joshua Tree National Park and easy to access. Virtually no houses in sight. Easy to access in my van with simple instructions to get to the site. I wouldn't try to get there by night without having scouted it out before. Sunset and sunrise were worth being there. For me it was all about the privacy and peace of the site.

Tent
Perfect little spot for tent camping, close enough to town but far enough away for a private get away. Two spots with fire rings to choose from. Will def. be back again.

Tent
Serene and spacious. Dave's property is blissful. There is no light pollution, which makes stargazing incredible, and the sunsets and sunrises can't be missed. There is flat ground for tents, and I loved the posts for my hammock. Navigating was simple using Dave's directions and Google Maps to see where I was realtime (when to turn). There are two properties just over the hill, and during my stay both neighbors were quiet and going about their day.
