Hillside bluff
Livin w/the land, a great experienc
Loved camping here! I was their very last camper of the season. I had booked way in advance and as we all know... we can't predict the weather in July out here in Los Angeles. SO it was a VERY hot weekend BUT I prevailed. And not without the amazing community of the Ecoshire group. Jim and Dawn were so kind and I instantly felt like one of their family members. Those that were also on the campground were great company and it made the trip even better. I highly recommend this place as there is a lot to explore; hillsides, hiking; a huge hanger filled with games, painting, arts n crafts and even musical instruments.
Due to it being in the outdoors you will get your fair share of ants, flies, jack rabbits, crows, and spiders. Not so many mosquitoes!
They strive to giving back to the earth, so take care of your campsite and pick up your trash (they have receptacles on site) as well as a huge kitchen for use if needed and a shower/toilet.
Would definitely come back (but in the fall or early spring time to beat the heat).

East Cove
Inspired
This is an amazing and eclectic little campground. Jim and his crew are perfect hosts and very accommodating. I LOVED my campsite and felt very secure there, even when I could hear coyotes in the distance. I was at the end of my first week of a three week spiritual quest journey and this campsite fit right in and gave me a place for solace and meditation! The land will definitely speak to you here if you take the time to listen. So will Jim! It is truly inspiring what one can do when reclaiming a trash heap and turning it into a true shire; HOME!

North Cove
North Cove at the Ecoshire is awesome. The most secluded campground and it’s perfect for a little getaway to disconnect. I’ll definitely come back if we need a quick getaway.

Palo Verde: Group Tent Site
So much to explore
Booked Palo Verde site for a Fluor of coworkers and I to stay the weekend and enjoy nature. Jim delivered! It was easy to find and park, brought a 19 foot trailer and had plenty of space for tents to join. Lovely shade from the palo verde kept us cool in the mid afternoon. Lots of fun hikes and exploring around camp- chickens, garden, and sheep! My doodle really wanted to watch the sheep run so I had to keep him leashed- but good thing I did because we encountered a very healthy coyote on our hike. A great place for kids to be free and explore, ride a strider bike, art, animals, corn hole, hatchet throwing, archery (bring your own arrows) what’s not to love? Ok some of our crew were squeamish with the composting outdoor toilets, but they work as expected. Thanks for the stay! We’ll be back.

Fantastic land restoration project. It feels like a small community with many unique qualities. Sheep, chicken, cats, a wide open view of the night sky, ample places to relax.
