This is essentially a private campsite with a million dollar view! We are no longer opening the bunkhouse campsite; so that spot is now another area for your group to hang out. We are animal friendly and don't charge extra for you to bring your dog(s) to camp. Please LET US KNOW YOU ARE BRINGING DOG(S), when you request to book. Our dog Ruby, is a Black Mouth Cur, and our boy Chance is a Husky Doberman mix. Both are friendly with other dogs large and small. They look forward to meeting you and yours! Although we welcome dogs, the park only allows them into the park BUT NOT ON ANY TRAILS!! Only the national forests allow dogs on trails, not national parks. We can be available to dog sit your dog(s) while you explore in the park for $7/hour. Please contact us ahead of time, if possible, so we can arrange to be available to dog sit on your chosen day(s). Three rivers, California is the lower gateway to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks; and has some unique restaurants, shops & even our own brewery! Our hillside property has great mountain views on 2.25 serene stepped acres. Our driveway turns directly off of Sierra drive, four miles past the town center (3R post office) and just 2 miles from the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks entrance - so it's conveniently located and easy to find! Five Fours Camp is up a private driveway, leaving the roadway below. You can't see it; but you can still hear the tranqual sound of the Kaweah River flowing across the street. Sorry, there is NO river access from this campsite. I know! We were heartbroken too when we found out we couldn't just cross the street and swim! You CAN go to Slick Rock and swim, boat, fish and more - about 8 miles away. My wife Elizabeth and I bought our log home in 2015 and we have been dreaming and building here ever since! Our beloved older dog Ruby was rescued shortly after we bought. Our boy Chance was rescued during the beginning of the pandemic. They chase all the fun wildlife off of their property! In addition to deer, we have seen fox, bob cats, an Ocelot, too many coyotes, wild turkeys and bear crossing an animal highway along our upper hillside property line. Hawks, hummingbirds, quail, blue birds, woodpeckers and Sime yellow bellied finches are regularly seen here all over as well. Owls have been heard; but not seen. We love our mountain views and look forward to sharing them with you!Three Rivers is a small welcoming gateway town to the southern entrance to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National parks. Our hillside property is located just 2 miles from the parks entrance. Our driveway spills directly onto Sierra Drive - the main road leading through town and into the parks - so we are very easy to find! We only have one campsite - the Corral campsite. So you will have the place to yourselves! … other than us, your hosts, who live on site. Our log home is close enough to be available to help with any questions & to share our wi-if. It is located a bit higher up the hillside. You can see our rooftop from the campsite. We have created a safe, comfortable, private and quiet camping experience in a rustic natural setting. The Corral campsite includes the exclusive use of a wide 2-person hammock, a large propane BBQ (propane provided) also with a side burner for regular cooking, basic BBQ cooking utensils, an extra large picnic table with a shade structure built over it, a cold water hose fed spigot with a deep bucket to wash dishes, 1 covered garbage can, and 1 recycling covered can. Even when there is a fire ban in effect, you CAN use our provided BBQ year round. This campsite is priced for 4 people of any age, race or persuasion. You can add 2 more campers for $15/each per night for a maximum of 6 total. Because we "meet and greet" to show you around and how things work, we ask for you send us a ballpark ETA when you plan to arrive - on the day - so we can arrange to be there and available to show you around. Check-in is any time after 2pm - which is a long time to be stuck at home waiting, if you don't know a camper isn't planning on coming until later in the evening.✌ If somehow our dogs haven't heard you drive up and announced your arrival with their barking, please come up and knock on our front door. We are waiting to welcome you! Our driveway has a sharp, steep turn while climbing our hillside property. The driveway stops us from hosting RV'S or pulled trailers. If you manage the steep hairpin driveway turn, there is no place to turn around once up. Campervans are fine! Rooftop tents work too. Children are welcome. Our place is very rustic, on a hillside, and off of a main road, so we are by no means "child proof"; But we are child friendly. Especially at night, you can hear the sounds of the river flowing across the street below.  Unfortunately, we don't have river access. There’s a great place to swim a few minutes drive down the street called Slick Rock Recreation Area - and your park entrance pass works there too; put it on your dashboard to save you the $5 day use fee. Our past Hipcampers have posted pictures of them floating in inner tubes at Slick Rock. We do have an outdoor cold water shower for you to cool off at the camp...and it has a great view! My wife Elizabeth and I bought our home in 2015 after falling in love with the hillside log cabin and its fantastic mountain views. Our dog Ruby was rescued shortly afterward. She will come and greet you! Our dog Chance was rescued during the pandemic. They are our animal police and will bark your arrival! They will also chase the deer off of our property; and if they smell a bear, they will go out and tree it! Bears run away if confronted, or up a tree. If you're lucky, you may spot one! They are generally very timid animals and will run away FIRST if confronted. We have birdbaths to attract wild drinkers and bathers; so there are many winged friends living on and around our place, especially quail. We currently have 2 quail families; each living on opposite ends of our property. You may also spot raven, hawks, hummingbirds, bluebirds, some kind of yellow bellied finches and woodpeckers. Or you may hear our resident owl in the early morning hours. In addition to deer, you may see wild turkeys, fox, bobcats, coyotes and bear; mostly crossing an animal highway along our upper property line - above the campsites. We are animal friendly and don't charge extra for you to bring your dog(s) to camp. Please LET US KNOW YOU ARE BRINGING DOG(S), when you request to book. Our dog Ruby, is a Black Mouth Cur, and our dog Chance is a Husky Doberman mix. Both are good with other dogs large and small. They look forward to meeting you and yours! Although we welcome dogs, the park only allows them into the park BUT NOT ON ANY TRAILS!?! Only the national forests allow dogs on trails, not national parks. We can be available to dog sit your dog(s) while you explore in the park for an extra fee. Please contact us ahead of time, if possible, so we can arrange to be available to dog sit on your chosen day(s). Feel free to reach out, if you have any questions. We are happy to answer them!

Water Tower Cool Off!
We enjoyed camping on Brewster's land this past week! Other than the scorching hot weather, the best part was cooling off at the water tower at the end of the day after exploring the national parks. It was such a relief! Brewster met as at the campsite when we got there. He was super nice showing us around and all the amenities. He also made sure to warn us about the danger of the river, especially because we had our two little boys. He also warned us about the bears that come around the area and the rattlesnakes. Thank you Brewster and Elizabeth for sharing your piece of the West. Loved it! 😍

Brewster and Elizabeth are really welcoming, everything was as described and they were really helpful with recommendations on the region. The view is stunning and the hamac extra comfy. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect location! Close to town and the park entrance. Brewster welcomed us as we arrived and showed us around the site. It has everything I could want in a campsite- covered picnic table, flush toilet, grill, sink, shower- but without the crowds of a full campground. Perfect spot to stay if you want to camp while visiting sequoia :)

Beautiful views, great accommodations (like flush toilet, shower, grill, ample space, dining area), and delightful hosts. Very private. Only 2.5 miles to entrance for Sequoia National Park, and 3 miles to town of Three Rivers where you can get whatever you need (pricey but convenient). Brewster and Elizabeth are lovely.

What a fun site (Western cowboy theme)! Very close to the Foothills entrance to Sequoia. We got up early and had a very peaceful drive to the beautiful Sequoia trees at Sequoia NP and King’s Canyon NP. Brewster is a great host. He showed us the site, how to access toilet, shower, BBQ, and WiFi. Everything about the site is organized and well thought out. We BBQ’d steaks for dinner…What a treat! Two sweet well-mannered dogs on site. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.
