Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Situated on a private and peaceful non-profit farm on the Gaviota Coast, our campsites provide a unique camping experience for the whole family. The sites feature uninterrupted views of the coast, native chaparral hiking trails, and access to a farm tour (suggested donation of $25/person). Our farm raises animals such as cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and more. We invite you to visit with the animals, hike our trails, and enjoy the natural beauty of our incredible land. Sites are primitive camping on gravel pads along our hiking trails. Approximately a five minute hike from parking. Water and composting toilets are provided.

The campsite at Gaia Farms offers a captivating escape into nature, with stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding islands. Guests rave about the farm tour, which provides a heartwarming connection with the animals and a peaceful break from city life. While the drive up is a bit winding and the wind turbine can be noisy at times, the breathtaking sunsets and starry nights make it all worthwhile. Privacy varies by campsite, so choose accordingly for the best experience.

The most beautiful and peaceful property and place to camp. Amanda and her husband are so welcoming and have an incredible and ever growing farm. The farm tour was so nice and even got to grab some home made goods! The camp sites are very spacious and comfortable. Will definitely visit again !

Great time if you’re prepared
I was not prepared to have to pee just in the bushes with composting toilets but that might be my bad for not knowing. Otherwise we had a great time! Amanda is such a kind person and we thoroughly enjoyed the farm tour. Beautiful views as well!

The view from the site was spectacular! The farm life added a unique charm. The hosts have gone above and beyond to make the sites feel secluded from the other rentals. Tips: have a head lamp, pack light for hauling things from parking to the site, pack extra tethering and spikes for your tent should the wind pick up.

Views from Heaven
Amanda’s property, campsite, and farm provided us with an unforgettable weekend. We were initially drawn to the site because of the images of the baby goats and we are so glad we followed our interests to this campsite. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, rolling hills, and even the Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and San Miguel Islands! The sunset is stunning from the campsite, and the light lingers romantically for a long time after the sun has set, and the subsequent star-scape are hard to beat; these features make the site unique in its natural beauty, but the site itself offers more than these stunning views. We opted in for the farm tour, which was the most touching and down to earth experience we have had in the longest time…we met the animals and had the pleasure of feeding and spend time watching the relationship and roles of all the farm animals. As someone who lives in a large city, I found the change of pace, peace, and natural beauty to be very welcoming. A visit to Gaia farms was exactly what we needed to feel more in tune to the land and learn about these human and animal connections we often forget about. Thank you Amanda & Gaia Farms!

Great views, night stars & turbine
The campsite is a great getaway. It is a bit of a drive from HWY-101, up among some winding hills, but the views and the night stars are really incredible. There is a wind turbine onsite, which does make variable but persistent amounts of noise depending on the wind. It was a bit windy when I was there, so was noticeable and at times loud for most of the evening & night, but the site and hosts were really great!

Fantastic camp!
The host was fantastic. The view from the sites were unbeatable and the farm was very cute. If you are looking for privacy stay at sacred camp. Great views and private. If you are going with another couple the other two sites chaparral 1 and 2 are great. If your going alone with your partner these two sites are very close and intimate, so I would advice you stay at sacred unless you don’t mind being close to your neighbours.
