Most of the time it is very quiet. There is another camp down stream owned by a wonderful family. They are here a couple times per week. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing cayotes sing at night is very common. There is abundant wildlife including rattle snakes, bob cats, cayotes, fox, mountain lions and bears. Although it is rare to see them, always be aware of your surroundings and watch where you are stepping. Please don't leave food outside overnight or if you plan to leave for the day. Fall asleep to the soothing sound of the pristine river and watch the sunrise from your cozy queen size bed. This 12' x 20' pergola is situated on 55 secluded acres. You will enjoy access to the river, several hiking trails, fishing, swimming and gold panning! There is the a stocked kitchen, flush toilet and a warm shower. The pergola sleeps 4, additional camping cots are available in the "Extras" section when you book. The camp is off grid with solar lights. Cell phone reception is spotty but text works well. Although this is a very safe area, there is a gate at the entrance of the camp that you can close and lock at night or if you will be gone for the day.
