WELCOME PLEASE READ! Overnight parking and Rest Stop on South Highway One. Private road and picnic area. Walk to beach bluffs 10 minutes. Potable water. Bathrooms. Fire pit and wood. Tents okay. An abundance of seasonal wildflowers and wild berries Year round. Observe rare. Species of birds Close walk to town for shopping and festivals. ********************************************* Next to FARM horses and chickens. Ocean may be loud. Highway may be heard. No pets please. Noise curfew is sundown. No parties in this location. Check in after 2pm Check out is noon.

HMB Highway Overnight Rest Stop
Little difficult to find the driveway as it starts out as only grass, so much so that the car behind us laid on the horn because they didn’t see the driveway at all. Once you are at the site it’s very nice and just down the road from the Irish pub with great beer!

Pros: most affordable in the area, ready for van or tent stays, accessible (even with 2WD), clearly marked, communicative host who even provided firewood 🔥 Cons: maybe 200ft from highway means car noise, ranch + neighbor lights on till late, early rising roosters - it wasn't the darkest / quietest / most out in nature place I've ever stayed, but so long as you expect that going in you're in a good location to enjoy the NorCal coast!

Appreciated the firewood. However, it’s really loud at night as it’s located next to a highway and it was hard to fall asleep. There’s also no public toilets close by. You can smell horses from the farm next to it.

HMB Highway Overnight Rest Stop
The spot is next to the highway and a lot of road noise. Not very peaceful for a trip to the ocean. There is a fire pit but the logs were green and not ready to burn. The spot was however clean. And the host was easy to communicate with. It was close to nearby beaches. I personally would not stay here again for the amount charged and the location right next to the highway.

cynthia is the best, she waited us even if it’s raining. the place is quiet. we enjoyed staying there
