Camping With Our Dog
Enjoyed tent camping at Jug Handle Creek Farm. The. campground was pretty. Lots of trees and view of a neighboring meadow. Cut wood available for $10 at kiosk. We enjoyed a campfire each nite. September evenings and mornings were cool and misty. One clear nite the sky was packed with gorgeous stars! Hiking trails throughout the camp, leading down to the beautiful Jug Handle Creek Beach. Also enjoyed hiking beach in next town of Fort Bragg. There were clean porta potties throughout the campground and and ample sink and potable water in group campsite. A good camping experience for us and a big plus, our dog enjoyed it too!

#9 - Walk into Forest
Secluded Campsite in Foggy Woods
We loved tent camping at this site! We chose Camp #9 based on the description and other reviews stating it was a little more private than the other sites. We lucked out and were the only tent campers in the area for the first night. Had there been others, we still would have been a little tucked away, but would have been able to see and hear our neighbors. Still the best site in our opinion. Site had a decent campfire pit with a small grill plate and a picnic table. There was also a water spigot, fire buckets, and a very well serviced porta-potty right across the access road. There are also several trailhead markers in the property that lead allover Jug Handle State Park. Area can get VERY foggy at night and will make everything damp/wet in the morning. Download any maps or instructions prior to getting there as there is very little to no service in the area. All in all, it was a great trip and escape into nature. Would definitely go back, specially earlier in the summer!

#9 - Walk into Forest
Nice spot that leaves enough room in between campers. I love that there were no generators. Firewood provided to make campfires. Easy access to trails and beach. It will be even better when the plumbing for the bathrooms is finished.

#7 - Large Sunny Family Spot
My husband and I got married at this location 6 years ago and it was magical! We came to camp at the same campsite we have in the past and SO MUCH has changed. The once wooded site is now a clear cut site so we couldn't put up a hammock and were surrounded with stumps. We read that due to non native trees being planted there a long time ago, the trees are now dying and having to be replaced with new native trees. In the meantime, it is really impacting the coziness of the property. In addition, this property now hosts weddings with amplified music which is loud for the campers. We also had a yelling family and a frequently screaming baby on either side of our camp. The sites are spacious but no match for all that noise.
