Our property is 142 acres located on the top of east Cuesta grade, elevation approximately 2100. We are secluded enough to feel like you're far away from city life but in reality only 20 minute drive to downtown San Luis Obispo. The main road up continues past our property and turns into the Los Padres National Forest and is very popular for hiking and biking with locals. We also have private trails within our property. We have a farm consisting of 10 sheep, 10 goats, 30 chickens, 2 pigs, 4 dogs, a cat. Interaction with farm animals may be possible upon request. Most campsites are close to our animal pastures. Guests have enjoyed having a morning coffee in the company of sheep and a couple of pigs on the other side of the fence. Bee hives are located on the property as well. Honey, eggs and firewood are available for purchase. :)

Purí Camp
Love 💗
What a delightful surprise to car camp at the Purí site for 2 nights. I know the area well enough to have arrived at dusk, but I echo a daytime arrival being ideal. Loved the gorgeous walks and meeting the animals! It’s all well maintained. Lovely, communicative hosts. Hope to meet them next time. :)

The Range
Amazing views, peaceful!
The Range is just an amazing spot to spend a few days. We had a bit of wind the morning of our departure, but we knew that and had packed the night before. The site is large and flat, with vistas pretty much in every direction. You get to see the beautiful sunrise and sunset, and the visits from the resident goats, sheep and dogs were just great. The water spigot was perfect, the the composting toilet is just down the hill. The shower is a bit of a distance, but it looked great (we didn't use it). Chris came back to check on things, and Karina was great on text. There is a bit of a washout at the beginning of the entrance to the roadway up to the property. Not an issue with van campers, but could bottom out longer trailers. This is not their issue, it's state property.

December on the RANCH
This was a great place to camp! The hosts were so nice, helpful and their property was just as described (but even better in person). We had a nice weekend, hiking, hanging out and playing games, and enjoying the hilarious antics of the pigs, sheep, goats and dogs that co-host the property... oh, and I can't forget the chickens! The views are spectacular as are the sunsets/sunrises... we are looking forward to visiting again!

Banjo and i
I stayed at this beautiful ranch recently, and while I didn’t get to spend much time there—rolling in late at night and leaving early for work—I could tell it’s a truly special place. One of my favorite things about staying here was how thoughtful and attentive the owners were in making sure I arrived safely. Since the ranch is in a more isolated area with a couple of fences to drive through and winding switchbacks (not to mention minimal signage), they went above and beyond by calling and texting me detailed instructions on how to get there, which was especially helpful since I was arriving at night. Their kindness and care made the experience even better, and I can’t wait to return when I have more time to enjoy everything this place has to offer. As someone who travels up and down the coast often, this ranch is definitely on my list for future stays.
