Amazing views
Hipcampers say this spot has amazing views.
Welcome to our serene and secluded campsite, nestled within 150 acres of pristine wilderness, where nature's beauty remains largely untouched and untamed. As you venture into this enchanting oasis, you'll be greeted by a tranquil 4-5 acre lake teeming with bass and catfish, providing the perfect setting for leisurely fishing or simply basking in the calming presence of the water¹. Surrounding the lake, a sprawling 20-acre meadow unfolds before your eyes, adorned with a dazzling array of wildlife and wildflowers. This vast expanse offers ample opportunities for exploration, whether you wish to embark on a leisurely stroll or engage in spirited frolics among the flora and fauna. The campsite features numerous hiking trails that meander through the captivating landscape, revealing breathtaking scenic vistas at every turn. With each step, you'll be immersed in the enchanting sights and sounds of the wilderness as you forge your own path through this magical haven. Located a mere 9 miles from Shaver Lake and 20 miles from the Dinkey Creek recreation area, our campsite provides a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life while still offering convenient access to popular outdoor destinations. However, it's worth noting that dirt roads are the only means of reaching our hidden gem, so we highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle for navigating the more rugged areas closer to the lake. And for those of you making the journey from Fresno, you'll be pleased to know that our campsite is only a 50-minute drive away, allowing you to swiftly trade city life for the serenity of nature. So pack your bags, gather your loved ones, and join us at our enchanting wilderness campsite for an unforgettable adventure! For those keen on amphibian observation, the lake has been known to host riveting debates between frogs and newts, discussing the pros and cons of living life on the edge (of the water, that is). The squirrels in the area are known to have an underground nut exchange market, where they trade acorns and pine nuts based on market demand and seasonal fluctuations. Deer residing in the meadow have been spotted engaging in synchronized leaping competitions, often accompanied by an audience of birds providing a rhythmic, tweet-filled soundtrack. The raccoons in the vicinity are master recyclers, often seen sorting through campsite leftovers and hosting workshops on how to properly repurpose human waste. Just don't ask them about their black mask fashion choices. Owls perched high in the trees have been known to host nightly storytelling sessions, recounting tales of the forest and its inhabitants to any creature willing to lend an ear or a wing. Chipmunks residing in the area have an annual burrow decorating contest, where they compete to create the most welcoming and cozy living spaces using only natural materials found in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Black bears occasionally hold impromptu forest yoga classes, emphasizing the importance of balance and flexibility in both the animal kingdom and their own pursuit of berries and fish. Bald eagles have been observed conducting aerial acrobatics shows, drawing impressive loops and dives in the sky as other birds watch in awe and envy. Local foxes have established a covert network of underground tunnels¹¹, used for their exclusive, secret society meetings where they discuss cunning strategies and share tales of their latest mischievous exploits.Welcome to our serene and secluded campsite, nestled within 150 acres of pristine wilderness, where nature's beauty remains largely untouched and untamed. Lake side
Since I was the only camper that night, I got to pick among 7 campsites. Some are more shady, some more open with a meadow view or view if the lake. Jacob welcomed me and invited me to pick apples from the many apple trees on the property. Summer and Jacob are very dog friendly, which was a huge plus as I was able to bring my 3 dogs along.

Summer and Jacob were absolutely amazing. They were so welcoming and great hosts. We got to know them and see around the property. They were making homemade apple pies and even let me and my fiance have some as we roasted some hot dogs. This camp site was 10/10. They were all about the community and there isn’t enough good things to say about them. Will definitely be going again

Not Suited For Airstreams
While the hosts are very nice they were not forthcoming with the rugged conditions of the roads and the excess brush. I specifically asked about bringing my 22ft Airstream and was told “come on up”. What I wasn’t told is that there is overgrowth everywhere. Upon arrival I immediately noticed that my entire passenger side was scratched up. Like 100+ scratches from front to back on a beautiful Airstream I just purchased. Devastated is an understatement. This campsite cost me at least $1000 in damages and some scratches are not repairable without replacing $5000 panels. I find it very irresponsible & greedy for the hosts to not look out for their guests and disclose the rugged conditions of the property, especially when asked. Great for bringing beat up old campers. I would never bring my Airstream here if I knew the risks up front.

Private camping paradise!!
Wowww this has to be one of the best hipcamps out there!!! So private and close to so much, and by far the best part is the very warm and welcoming family that hosts this site. I’ve been twice now and can’t wait to keep coming back!

Relaxing retreat
What a relaxing, private secluded (almost) place. Jacob is great. Very knowledgeable about the area and plant life. Did a little fishing (catch and release) and hiking but mostly relaxed. Very easy in and out. Thanks Jacob and Summer for letting enjoy a little bit of your magical world.

Great place, but needs improvement
It's a reasonable and interesting campground. Interesting lake. Almost like wilderness camping. However, one needs to be prepared when going there. Google maps actually sent up to the road across from the campground. It was rather tricky to locate the number sign. Good thing we can when it was light. I don't know if ti was even possible to find it in the dark. The road inside the compound could be improved. There were no reflectors to the actually guide one to their camping spot. The host mentioned bears in the area. However, no metal boxes, or even good pole to nag the food was available.
