The peace, quiet and beauty of nature is the theme at our property.  This land is dedicated to the re-sacralization of culture. The spot was an ancient Native American camping area.  People have found arrowheads, stone beads and grinding stones on the land.   We offer various types of camping sites, as well as a teepee - so please read each listing for specific amenity and location information. We sell firewood, fresh eggs, and raw honey on site. The amount and variety of wildlife is astonishing, with bear, deer, turkeys, fox, coyote, bobcat, Eagles, River otter, salmon and steelhead, with a wide variety of songbirds during migration. Easy access from road, close to town, tall oak trees, privacy, creek with salmon within a five minute walk, mountains, wildlife, barn owl nest box. Guests love staying here: "Elderberry camp was really great! It was a large site, plenty of space, shade, and parking. Very peaceful and good distance between other sites although we were pretty much the only campers out there. Outhouse was clean and there was drinking water. We spent most of our Saturday in Eel River which was great. The water was perfect for swimming and fishing, our husbands caught some big ones. Stephen was very nice and accommodating, the honey and eggs we asked for were a nice addition too!" Helpful0  Report

Great Weekend Tent Camping
Great spot. We tent camped at Shady Oaks. We were the only party there. Everything went very smoothly. Directions were excellent. Each of sites had picnic table, fire pit, and seating cut from tree trunks. There was no cell reception so when we had one question after arriving, following the info in the welcome message we drove back on the road to nearest spit with reception and contacted the owner and got a really fast response. The creek was stunning - we swam and it was brisk but mostly because weather was a bit breezy. Also drove 5-6 miles to Eel River beach which was so spectacular. Toilet is basic but functional, and water worked great. It seemed like Shady Oaks had most shade, followed by Elderberry. There is occasional road noise but not a problem as very little traffic. The birdsong was lovely. We took our dog and she had a great time especially at creek and river. We really want to come back. Thanks for having us.

Such a great place for the kids, we come every year. Great creek with frog song and plenty of room to roam. We’ll be back!

Shady Oaks
This was an amazing spot, beautiful and quiet. We stayed at Shady Oaks. There was a perfect amount of shade, it was close to the drinking water, close (but not too close) to the outhouse, and the trail to the creek was right behind the campsite. We were the only ones there, so not sure about noise from other sites, but they're a good distance from each other, maybe 50 yards and not visible from Shady Oaks. Stephen and Lars helped us with firewood, they were both super nice, good vibes. The creek was perfect, there were spots near the trail that were deep enough to swim in, which our dog loved, and the water wasn't too cold. Would definitely recommend!

Great campsite with day activities
Great place to camp! Perfectly shaded when we went. Easy walk to the creek which was perfect for laying out or taking a dip or hike. When leaving camp back towards SF my GPS took me down tomki road which was fun but rough and had around 9 creek crossings. My factory gmc sierra had no issue with the road but I would not attempt with a 2wd vehicle or one with low ground clearance.

Creekside camp 1
Perfect Spot!
I loved tenting here! It was very peaceful and well maintained. I was right next to the creek in creekside 1 and my dog and I loved it! There were some ticks and a lot of foxtails so dog owners just keep an eye out but I would totally come back
