Relax on 3 expansive acres with sunny meadows and some hidden forest nooks. The property has a remote feel to it but is just minutes from the quaint coastal town of Trinidad. A beautiful walk down quiet country road takes you to Secret Beach. Fresh vegetables from the garden are available for your use. A number of beaches nearby allow for surfing, kayaking, and swimming. We are located 5 miles from Sumeg State Park with beautiful hikes, vistas, beaches, and indigenous historical sites.Unwind in the elfin cabin with all the amenities. Cute one room space, with kitchen, shower, fridge, 2 stovetop burners, and a California King bed. Use as a home base for exploring all that Humboldt county has to offer - rivers, beaches, forest, craft breweries, Arcata plaza, old town Eureka shops. A half mile from the cabin boasts the best restaurant in town - Larrupin's - where you can dine on fresh fish and smoked meats. A half hour north is Trees of Mystery with a sky tram. Fun fact, this cabin was moved from our neighbors and reconstructed with love and patience by the current owners. Features include a cob floor and artisan woodwork by the original designer. Due to there being only one bed in the cabin, this rental is best suited for couples, singles, or two adults with one small child.

Peaceful and comfortable cabin

Elf Cabin

We loved our stay at elf cabin! It was much roomier than we imagined. It’s very cute and cozy. They did a great job putting the cabin back together and remodeling it. The bed was super comfortable. It’s nice to have all the amenities of a hotel suite, but be in the coastal forest. We made a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the cool night. You can hear the ocean waves not too far in the distance. While there are neighbors relatively close, it felt very private. My only regret is that we did not get to meet Covey, but we arrived after dark! Perhaps next time, we’re most certainly planning to visit again!

Elf Cabin

Awesome cabin in a low key area with plenty to explore. I enjoy stopping in Trinidad as I travel through the north coast and the property was very quiet and perfect for a much needed getaway. Look forward to staying again sometime!

Elf Cabin

This cabin was the perfect escape tucked into the center of the redwoods. It was a dreamy getaway in the perfect location to explore all the redwood parks north and south. The cabin is also a 5 minute drive from Trinidad with great restaurants and cafes. The cabin itself was so well equipped, cozy, and fairly private - all creature comforts provided. We’d absolutely come back again!

A hidden gem!!

Elf Cabin

I stayed here overnight with my best friend and we absolutely loved the Elf Cabin. It was so cozy and quaint, surrounded by trees and nestled in a beautiful little yard. We could hear the ocean from the cabin and just a short walk down the road lead to one of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever been to!! Though it wasn’t a very swimable beach, it was the perfect place to catch the sunset. I can’t wait to come and stay here again!!!

Elf Cabin

Such a gorgeous place to stay. My partner and I loved the cabin so much and the surrounding area leaves you breathless. Jeff and Lisa are a really lovely couple and the care they put into this place really shines through. Would absolutely recommend.
