Lone Juniper Ranch offers a unique camping experience with its cozy cabins and stunning views of the surrounding hills and mountains. Guests frequently mention the joy of interacting with a variety of animals such as camels, donkeys, alpacas, and more, which adds an extra layer of charm to the stay. The cabins are noted for being clean, well-equipped, and perfectly suited for families or solo travelers looking for a serene retreat. However, some reviewers have mentioned challenges with navigation and a few unmet expectations regarding animal interactions.
Beautiful spot with a just-the-right-size cabin for two. Lots of space outside to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings. The alpacas and donkeys right in front of the cabin add something really special to the experience.
Fantastic view of the hills and mountains, fun there were some animals as well! Host was helpful and friendly, RV spot had water and power, it was a good distance from the cabins to provide some space. Would stop in again, if pulling an RV I’d suggest using 4WD up the hill
Juniper Ranch is gorgeous, cozy, and comfortable. It's the perfect mix of scenic beauty, solitude, and fun - we loved saying hi to the camels, llamas, donkeys, and other animal friends. 10/10 - would recommend!
We made a trip just for the kids to experience the ranch. We read all the great reviews about being met once we were there and getting chances to feed the animals. We even decided to just buy wood from the ranch even though we usually bring our own.
We got there and weren’t even sure where to park. There weren’t any directions, and no one met us. For the wood we purchased, we had to reach out to get it at all. While we got to pet the animals, we didn’t get a chance to even try to buy carrots to feed them and most of the animals were a ways away from the camping spots. But, we didn’t even feel that comfortable petting them because there wasn’t any clear direction. Overall, for just the spot with a fire pit, it felt really expensive especially given we didn’t get any other experiences or even to be near most of the animals that were promised.
Great experience, clean cozy cabin filled with all the essentials. Land and its views were amazing, great terrain for mountain biking. Overall we had a relaxing and memorable family time. We will be returning for sure.
