Malibu RV is set on a coastal bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, California. Founded in the 1970s, Malibu RV offers RV Sites, Van Sites and Tent Camping, a communal ambiance, and a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of your travels along the California Coast.
Whether you are a digital nomad, a surfer looking to shack up for the night, or an adventurer looking for an extended stay, we would love to have you.
Surf Outpost offers incredible views with easy beach access, making it a favorite for campers seeking oceanfront experiences. The site's cleanliness and friendly staff contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, though some reviews note close proximity to neighbors and road noise. Facilities like clean restrooms and a well-stocked store enhance the stay, despite some complaints about pricing and small tent spaces. Overall, the campground is praised for its scenic beauty, amenities, and convenient location, although the tight spaces and costs are common concerns.
We had a great time at Surf Outpost/Malibu RV Park. My kids sometimes think I'm crazy for wanting to camp on our adventures but the views were beautiful, it was quiet, the bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. Their signs need some updating/repair but we found our spot pretty quick and they were very helpful with our late arrival. Just be careful with the route since PCH is closed in one part because of the fires (it didn't show on Google maps because residents & employees can still get through with a pass). Would stay there again for sure!
Overall the site looks pretty cool and is located next to the beach although you need to cross highway 1 to get there. Friendly and helpful staff. They can refill your LP gas on site which is quite useful if it is your last day. Bathrooms were really cold, which was not that nice after taking a shower. In my opinion it is overpriced for what you get.
