All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
Our camp area is right next to our home. We live on 2 acres which is apart of our families 500 acre ranch and home to a summer camp and retreats. There are nice hiking trails we can direct you to as long as the National Forest isn't closed. We have a few picnic tables, outdoor electrical, a grill, fresh spring water, water hook up and beautiful scenery all around. We do own a few cats.  Our space isn’t huge and we are working on making it more private but you are welcome to come stay here...we are happy to share. We live in a remote area and its beautiful and quiet.  There is a local town 6 miles down the road that has several places to eat and one small place to get some grocery. This property that we live on has been lived on now by 4 generations. My grandpa bought this land with his brother in 1940s. His brother eventually sold his portion leaving my grandpa with a little over 500 acres... In 1934 he and my grandma started a winter program with only a few kids which eventually became a summer program for children with about 90 children every two weeks. This year would have been our 86th summer of children's camp run by our Third generation of Jamesons ( due to COVID, we were forced to cancel for the first time this year). For our summer children camp program, there are many fun things on the property to do including a pool, lake, horse program and so much more. We also run retreats off and on year round on the main property and offer a wide variety of things for our clients. Due to COVID, and the strange year had, we thought that this would help us gain a little of our money lost as well as meet some really cool travelers along the way. We call this God's country because it is a unique and beautiful peace of land, even in the driest of moments. And...there is beautiful manzanita trees all over property. We personally live 1/2 mile from the main part of the property Jameson Ranch, where the summer camp is held. I love to garden and are in the process of expanding our portion of the property to putting in fruit orchards and berry bushes. Our whole property also borders the Sequoia National Forest and there are some fun walking trails around there. Its very peaceful here and a reconnect with nature so to speak if that is what you are looking for. We hope to share this little bit of our heaven with you. Side note: If interested in the summer time programs for kids camp or family camp, let us know and we are happy to share that with you too. AMAZING starry skies!
16 ft car
Such great hosts! Site is just far enough from the main house to feel private, the views and the stars are insane, and we loved hanging out with their animals. Load up on the bug repellents and keep an eye out for the anthills, and then enjoy the entirety of the Milky Way visible above your head. Side note: we had no cell service for about 45 minutes prior to arrival. Make sure you have your directions downloaded well ahead of time.

Serene, gorgeous, & AMAZING hosts!
30 ft Class C · Group trip
Mia and David's property is absolutely gorgeous! And they are the nicest, friendliest, most accommodating hosts I could imagine. Honestly, I think they need to charge more for their guests. I can't wait to go back and spend more time there! Our family stopped here after visiting Yosemite and our time at Mia and David's was the highlight of everyone's trip!

Group trip
We were looking for a place to stay halfway between where we live and our final destination, Death Valley. We got a good laugh when we saw Mia and David's place. I've known Mia since she was 3 years old. She and her family couldn't be nicer more. welcoming people. The spot was quiet and serene, and being a bit remote, the stars shown brightly at night. In the morning, there was a hawk in the tree outside our sprinter van. We took a morning walk along the Native Trail which begins on Mia and David's property and has spectacular views. The spot has a grill, a picnic table and a horseshoe pit nearby. It was a great stay, and wonderful opportunity to visit with some of our favorite people.
