At Red Dragonfly Ranch our goal is to make a HipCamp that our campers can fully enjoy and have the property be the destination of choice when visiting Yosemite or the gold country of the Sierra’s. Red Dragonfly Ranch is conveniently located. We are only 29 miles from Yosemite Big Oak Flat entrance and only minutes away from the beautiful town of Groveland " The Gateway to Yosemite" and all the hidden gems in between. There are chickens and we are working on maintaining the many raised beds, our goal is being able to have our campers feel free to pick fresh herbs, fruits and veggies for their pleasure. There is a seasonal spring fed creek to cool off in and shade is plentiful. Rv's are welcome , but we are boondocking only. July 1 through August 16 : A reservation is required from 5 am to 4 pm every day August 17 through October 27: A reservation is required from 5 am to 4 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays ( September 2 and October 14 ).

We absolutely loved this hipcamp site. Lily and the hosts were so kind and helpful in suggesting things to do in the area (there is a super cute town with restaurants/bars/coffee shops) and great swimming holes nearby. The campsite was super lovely with solar lights at night and the nature is so beautiful there...lots of trees, birds, frogs. Overall great experience.

Lily was an amazing host. Very accommodating and responsive. Our site was setup with solar string lights, a picnic table and trash can. We had plenty of room for our 6 person tent and portable shower. There were showers and bathrooms available, both very clean and well kept. We were located by the seasonal creek and fell asleep to the frogs croaking which was lovely. We had a great experience and would recommend this location to other campers.

Great Campsite!

Campsite #1 was great for 2 people. There was a picnic table, space for a tent, and near the creek so you could hear all the frogs at night. We opted for the fireplace. It was setup upon our arrival and easy to use. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. There were solar string lights hanging to make walking around the campsite very easy at night. Lily was a very accommodating host and responsive. Overall, a great car-camping campsite experience.

Amazing, well kept camping spots. Tent site #1 was cute and the sound of the stream and frogs sang us to sleep. Incredibly peaceful. Lily was nothing but kind and generous, would stay again!

Site # 2

Great tent camping site! Lily was a great host and very welcoming. Guard dogs on site were super cute. The creek was lovely and sleeping under the stars was awesome. The frogs in the creek were a little loud at night. It didn't bother us but maybe something to be aware of. Would definitely recommend!
