Fabulous weekend in the redwoods
We had a great time on this property. We were not prepared for how cold it can get on the summit with fog rolling in after very warm days in the valley, but even the cold did not take away from our camping experience. We enjoyed the proximity to the stables next door and booked a trail ride, as well as being able to walk to Mt Madonna County Park and our 10+ mile hikes there. It is a beautiful area and there is something wonderful about being under the redwoods. Thank you!

This spot is beautiful! You're nestled right in the middle of the redwoods on a super private site. We woke up to the birds, hiked around on the various trails right off the campsite, and enjoyed being able to let the kids roam and explore.

Trash everywhere; site is sad
I don’t think Lauren is actively managing this site anymore. I asked if I could check in a couple hours early since she didn’t have any other reservations before or after me. She said no, she needed time to set up the site between guests. That was confusing, especially since I was met with two overflowing garbage cans of trash, and trash littered around the site. So she definitely isn’t resetting it between guests. It looked like no one had been there in ages. Other than saying I couldn’t check in early, she responded to zero messages, including when I told her about the trash issue. The site itself is underwhelming. It’s literally on the side of the road, immediately against Mt. Madonna Horse Stables. The pictures are taken at angles to suggest otherwise. This one is a hard pass for me, especially given the nightly rate.

A very tranquil area! It was giving twilight vibes. It was so nice to see the horses next door. The fire pit was the best part. Definitely loved our stay! The cat did come visit us but we just kept good out of the way and it was fine

This was a really great place to stay! The surrounding area was really nice being surrounded by the redwood trees. We did not meet Lauren the owner, but she was very accommodating with an issue regarding a date mix up. Oyster (the cat) was very cute but he did steal our dinner one night haha so watch out. Overall I would recommend staying here!
